Have to say thought it was a bit embarrassing to see all the Liverpool fans outside the courts the other day, jesus were any of them actually from Merseyside!!!!
Sky "What you gonna do with all those flags (anti g&h) you made over the years?
Graham Smith SOS : "send them down to manchester they might need them over the next few months"!!!!!!!!!!

Not many are.
Back in the day when Setanta used to do their matchday vox pops, there'd rarely be a Saturday morning without at least a couple of Dublin accents. I don't watch Sky very often but I assume nothing much has changed.
Your man Hicks is some chancer though. The pair of them were after $1.6 billion in damages until a court ordered them to drop it. That's five times the value of the club!
Depending on what you read, the net expenditure of Rafa in the transfer market varies
from £122m The UK Times to £71m Liverpool kop to £21m This is Anfield
Strong rumour that Hodgson will be gone by Monday. Apparently players have lost faith in him already. Training sessions are apparently very very poor amongest other things.

I would tend not to comment on English football specifically here, save Liverpool talk for boards, but there are a few players at that club that need sorting out. Specifically Gerrard and Carragher. Lets be honest, if there is talk of player unrest, then these are the two who are going to be behind it. And that talk has swollen greatly in the past 4 days.
As for Hodgson, the job is too great a task for him. His one intelligent signing, Meireles a really fine footballer, hasn't been played in his natural position, while the purchase of Konchesky and Poulsen, particularily the latter bordered on lunacy. Ironic that once Aquilani was released to Juve, he gets a run of form, mind you there were plenty of people of the belief that he showed enough in his brief performances last year that he was capable of being a real addition to the first team.
so player power it seems is what gets rid of Roy? Sure Rafa was the same allegedly, the players had turned on him. Once is perhaps understandable, twice and well me thinks the manager isn't the only problem.....
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
So KK77, looks like you'll need another change of name after Rafa B and KK77. Managers going back seldom work. Will it be DA ?
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
They've just shown Dalglish drive away from Anfield without a seatbelt on.
It's too late to look for three points now!
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Who would have thought 18 months ago that on the same day King Kenny was getting sacked, Roy Hodgson would be announcing his England squad for the European Championships!
How would you feel about AVB KK? Presume Rafa is your No.1 choice?
Haven't really thought a lot about it to be honest. I don't think AVB would be the worst choice though. I think he was shafted at Chelsea overall. Ok i know he didn't help himself at times but he struck me as a decent man but also a good manager at the wrong club at the wrong time.

Bizarrre ok. I see Martinez name been mentioned as well by the media. Keeping a team from being relegated compared to getting a team challenging for CL positions or better are two totally different jobs. I think he would need to move on to a club like Villa before getting his teeth in to Liverpool.
Rafa B hasn't exactly set the world on fire since he left/asked to leave Liverpool? As I said before, going back seldom works. As for AVB, Di Matteo has shown there is material to work with at Chelsea, something he failed to do. Given time he might do well at Liverpool but managers don't get time.

Yeah, Martinez and Rodgers are flavours of the month. I do have a lot of time for Martinez but it is difficult to compare the job he has done to the job he would be expected to do at Liverpool. I would expect him to change their style of play significantly though.
You have to make the leap at some point. Fact is Martinez has gotten better than anyone would have expected from a team with declining resources that sells all its best players every year. That doesn't mean he'd do well at Liverpool, but it does show he has a track record of exceeding expectations, not just surviving.

Am looking for old Irish matches on VHS, PM me if you have some and I'll upload them here
Martinez given permission to talk to Liverpool tonight.
Dave Whelan was on the news there saying it.
