From the bits of the Championship I see from time to time I am unsure if passing ability is a plus for Fahey as midfielders more likely to see the ball fly past their heads...
I was at the game at the weekend. Fahey is not a winger and didn't support his full back well enough however he did show some glimpses of his ability. His passing was top notch, he made a few chances for the other players with some class through balls. The Blues fans have really taken to him, every time he got the ball, people got very excited. Every time Fahey got the ball in a central position he looked very dangerous. IMO, he is a much better option than both Bowyer or Carsley and is only missing out on a CM place on reputation.

He starts today in the TV game against Sheffield United
Its really not that complicated!!!
Seemingly he didn't play well?
commentators make him sound Middle Eastern - Far he?!
Too many - not ideal if you are partial to a last minute beer before Kick-Off. Missed two goals already this season before even getting to my seat. Drastic at the moment down the Molineux. Hope to God we can turn it around - a test that will make or break McCarthy's career. Only saving grace is that nobody looks like they want to get promoted at the minute.
Sad to see the game pass him by at the weekend hopefully he will pick it up and push for inclusion in the next irish squad
A goal for Fahey just before half time!
someone should tell the BBC commentator. Makes me laugh everytime he pronounces it.![]()
Nice to see that Fahey is doing well for Birmingham.
Anyone have a link for his goal against southampton? couldn't find anything for that yet...
I was at St Andrews on Saturday. The commentator at the ground kept calling him Fay-he. It's a wonder KF hasn't had a word with him to put it right. All the fans around me kept referring to Far-he. Slightly better but still not right. What is it with the English inability to pronounce Irish surnames?
Anyway, Fahey had a reasonable game on the left side of midfield before being substituted on the hour mark. A couple of his passes went astray but he has an eye for the simple ball and seemed to make space for others when off it. Good goal too, a first-time shot from the left edge of the penalty area across the keeper into the far corner. He seems a tidy enough player and I was impressed at his speedy transition from the eL to the upper reaches of the Championship.

Saw highlights of Barnet's game on Sunday morning and O'Flynn did look good. Far-heseems to be adapting pretty well so far!
'And Crouch must score'
If they get promoted it will be very interesting to see how Far-he can go.
In fairness they just can't (cawn't) pronounce the "ah" sound properly over here. I told my 6 yr old daughter it was time for her bath recently and she said "it's not "bath" Daddy, it's "bawth"". She also has a bedtime story that includes the line "everything was calm in the jungle". She wouldn't let me turn the page properly until I pronounced "calm" her way. I had to put the book down after about 10 attempts.
i hope you gave the cheeky little b1tch a slawp.![]()
I see some people have been trying to rectify it hehe
