My Guarantee
Am looking for old Irish matches on VHS, PM me if you have some and I'll upload them here
B'ham hadnt won in four before last night so good to see him part of the winning side, even if it was just Derby at home. Hopefully he'll hold down a place there now.
Some comments from Birmingham fans on other forums
"He looked good, man of the match for me"
"Fahey looked good. Was everywhere and sprayed some lovely passes about. One awesome 60yrd crossfield diagonal ball that Bouazza messed up."
"
Fahey looked excellent tonight; some good passing and an excellent corner along with some good movement - he was also full of running, which was good.
"
Any links to those forums gustavo?

Fahey got MOTM last night
Ciaran - heres a crazy thought but have you ever seen Fahey play? I can't say i've seen a huge amount of him (mostly Pats matches on tv) but have to say he always looked a class act in the LOI but again wouldn't say i've seen enough of him to make the sort of absolute statements you've been making...
Just a thought...
"Well I think they'll be a little disappointed with that" - Matt Holland on TV3 after 5-2 drubbing by Cyprus
Debut boy Fahey helps Blues back to their winning ways
KEITH Fahey spoke of his relief in helping Blues get back to winning ways – and finally making his bow.
The midfielder signed from St Patrick’s Athletic for £300,000 was given his starting debut by manager Alex McLeish last night.
Red tape, suspension and postponements had made it a frustrating few weeks for Fahey.
But he was accommodated against Derby County in the centre of the park, with Lee Bowyer moving to the right flank.
“From my own point of view, it was a bit difficult. It was my first game at this level and it took me a while to find my feet,” he said.
“But it was just good for me to finally get out on the pitch.
“I’ve been here for a month now and wasn’t able to play at first, it’s been on-going.
“I’ve been training hard and it was just good to get out there.
“To play in the team as well with the likes of Lee Bowyer and Lee Carsley, it was brilliant.”
Fahey outlined his role, saying: “The manager wanted me to drive on and get forward and not really worry too much about getting back because Lee Carsley will always sit.
“But towards the end it didn’t work out like that, I was up and down. You have to do it at both ends.”
Reflecting on the 1-0 win, Fahey said: “I think maybe at the end we made it hard for ourselves, but we had a little spell when we went 1-0 up so we probably could have killed them off.
“After the goal we seemed to settle down and started to knock it around a bit.
“We need a bit more of that from the beginning.”
“We need to start winning games, home and away,” Fahey added.
“It’s important as I think the fans are getting a bit itchy at the moment. We will just keep plugging away.”
Keith "because Lee Carsley will always sit"
So it should be Keith.
Great news about Fahey, I hope Pats have a few beneficial clauses in the contract yet to kick in.
Wes Houlahan and O Donovan are both playing at Championship level and doing reasonably well. What about Readings 2 main strikers that have come from the League of Ireland, Doyle and Noel Hunt arent bad are they??
To make a statement like the one you made about Fahy when u have admitted yourself that u have only seen him play briefly shows that you are just basically a wind up merchant and only looking for a bit of attention. You have proven plenty of times on this forum that your knowledge of football is very poor
Its really not that complicated!!!
You have no idea about football and one thing for sure you are consistent in proving this. Do you spend time on other sports forums contributing to them too pretending you know something about them? I bet you have never attended a football game in your life? I watched Fahey play yesterday and he was one of the best players on the pitch and once he settles in he will be better. As for Hoohalan in particular he is doing as well as anyone in the Norwich team.
Why on earth do you guys bother?
what are u talking about? we talk about IRISH NATIONAL TEAM here. sadly because of a mentality in irish culture our football culture is focused in british football(at age 8 all u ever hear is trials for an english club), hence english football comes up on here generally because thats where our players happen to play for the most part.
Au contraire Ciaran I think you'll find the LOI supporters are far more open minded than the rest in here, and generally have a decent knowledge of football worldwide. I've yet to read anyone claim that Fahey should play at a higher level than Birmingham, or indeed that anyone else in the LOI did. At most 10/15 people claimed he should be in the Ireland squad, at least as many LOI supporters (myself included) said he shouldn't be (at least until he proves himself).
The fact you never argue elsewhere kinda backs the point being made about you being here solely to wind up people (which is your right). The fact you only ever seem to read posts that disagree with you is another.
If people don't want to read Ciaran's posts, please use the Ignore user feature. It'll help your sanity...

i agree with that. loi supporters are much more open-minded as they see british football as just another league.
