My FM2009 will not run for me. At all. It installs OK (although it doesn't put an icon on the desktop) but when I put the disc in to play it again nothing happens! I can't seem to get any answers from the net. Can anybody help?

hmmmm...

same thing happened me ala no desktop item.

1) Did you install steam?
2) Did you look for the game through My Computer>My Programs>Sports Interactive etc. it could be there under 'fm-MCE'

Why is it that when i put Liam Lawrence's second nationality as Irish in the database I can't call him up in the game? I didn't select the "declared for nation" option.

Tell your friend to use winrar so if he/she is using something else.

I've bought the game for my MacBook but the 3D option doesnt work! Instead of the colour of your team, I get just floating names...

Thanks for your reply, but it wouldn't play whether I installed it through Steam or not. Looks like I'll have to do without!

Pauro download the patch at sigames.com. i had the same problem too.

Getting this today. Plan on releasing an EL update with every correct transfer, squad, staff and board. Done it last year and was great. Will probably release it after the transfer window has closed.

Is the disc needed to play FM2009? Just got it today and it seems to load & play ok without the disc so I was gonna give it to the brother to install in his laptop

you need it to save and load games afaik, so yeah you'll need it!
