    Ireland Fans in the US

Surely this site is for experts only, but I was just wondering about fellow die hard fans in the US, and where you go to watch the game.
I realize not everyone is in NYC like me, but everytime we get visitors from the Old Country they swear our atmosphere is insane and amazing.
Still, Im interested to hear from any who live outside NY, Boston of course being Faux-Irish, and LA being Neo-Irish, but all welcome. I can't wait for the campaign to continue. Ive been to Dublin many many times but there is nothing like the crack of an Irish goal in the best NYC pub, and its been so long since the Georgia game that we really felt it on a Saturday---just awesome.
And FYI Notre Dame is a Paltry 2-0, but 2-0.

I try and go to an Irish Pub here in Jacksonville Fl, but due to work constraints, can't make it all the time. Normally watch it online or listen to RTE Radio online.

    Oh and Notre Dame sucks!

Tir Na Nog in Philadelphia is a great bar for watching the matches. A mix of Derry, Tyrone, Dublin, English born Irish, a few American born Irish and one Canadian who use to live in Dublin. Mental atmosphere for the Georgia game.

I usually go to either Fado or Gingers on Ashalnd. I also fly back for several games and will be in Italy and hopefully Bulgaria. Not a great crowd in Gingers for Ireland matches it has to be said.

I've only been here in the US since January so last Saturday was my first experience of a qualifying game in New York. I obviously went to the wrong pub though because Patrick Kavanagh's on 3rd Avenue had no more than 6 Irish fans in attendance (maybe it was the $20 cover charge).

I did bunk off work on Wednesday to watch the Montenegro game which was far better attended in Clancys on 2nd Ave - about 35 Irish fans + 1 Montenegran in attendance. Still I definitely would have preferred to be watching at home in Dublin. Based on the comments above there are obviously better places to watch the games here so any recommendations are appreciated.

Thankfully I'll be flying back for all the home qualifiers and the away trip to Italy. I haven't missed a home qualifier since Malta in 1983 so I'm not going to let a little bit of travel disrupt that record.

Good man Fergie, I've been to both. Gingers Ale House (right off the Brown Line at Addison I think) was voted best Soccer Pub in America and in Fado (Red Line at Grand I think) theres a great atmosphere as its full of Irish people. I was at Gingers only once and haven't been back to Fado since the Nightmare in Nicosia (they charge $20 to get in, I can't legally drink, and I can watch free online). Maybe I unwittingly saw you there.
