I would reckon that it was close on 50/50 at the match. Between 400 and 600 Bohs fans, which would be well down on what you brought last season but it was a Tuesday night.

We have 4 home games in 6 days so not everybody will be or could make all 4games, i would presume they will picking and choosing them this week. I'd say we will have the same against Millwall and Galway, then a sellout against Leeds on Sunday.

    About 107,000.

Although c. 30% are from the protestant commnuntiy, and largely ignore the club unfortunately.

Is this a Galway fan critiquing another club's attendances....?

How did you come to that conclusion?

PS Our crowds have dropped to around 1,200 which is pretty damn good for a Club glued to the bottom and hasn't won a home game in the League all season

What was the attendance from Bray last nite. Probably about 50 or so from Galway.

In 2006, Cork had a population of 120k, Derry had 107k, Galway had 72k.

35k (to Derry) is a big difference.

But as said somewhere else, ?30% of Derry's population are protestant and don't have the slightest interest.

    LOL

95% of Derry's people don't care. Religion is the least of their worries (and before any Derry fan comes on its aleague wide thing...)

Derry's crowds from 1985 have been a welcome boost to this league, from a high and unheard of 10,000 back in mid 80`s they (and Cork City) have easily averaged the best and most consistent crowds around, by some distance.

Taking 3,000 to an away uefa cup game, granted it was only over the water, but this alone will tell you enough about their fanbase.

I always looked forward to the Derry fans coming to Oriel, hopefully next season we will be see them again.

Re Oriel - I heard last night the FAI will oppose Dundalk playing on a thurs night if we get promoted..............Music to my ears !
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

FFS, it must be cos you're out of the big boys division for so long or something. Those days are long gone for derry!

While derrys crowds were brilliant when they first came into the league, their crowds in recent years(especially their away crowds) - in united park anyway theyre no better than what we bring up there (and we dont bring that many at all!!). Ive seen them a couple of times in dublin too and its the exact same. (and like dodge said, its nothing to be ashamed of in EL context as all EL clubs are the exact same, just stating that derry are no different.)

In fact, the few non bullshtting derry fans have acknowledged that on EL mb's in recent times

Is he not talking about the home crowds?

Derry have to go to Dublin area a lot more than ye have to make a comparable trip so its understandable the crowds arent as high.

We need to concentrate on home crowds before we start worrying about clubs away crowds imo.

All clubs away crowds are relatively poor
