If you want to pay for half the population of Wexford town, that's your business, I'd have expected the adults at least to pay for themselves. €10 less on the price wouldn't seem to make much diference to me, you probably spent more than that on petrol to bring them to the game, though no doubt that's "Dublin"'s fault too.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

I am born and reared within 300 yards of UCD and went to their games before moving to Wexford over 20 years ago. The guests that I paid for were my extended family that live in the area and I wanted to show them the team I have adopted. If more adults could have made it, I would happily have paid for them too. My point is that €5 for U10s is wrong, they should be free with a paying adult. Ever wonder why the crowds might be low at Belfield?? Also, with the very nature of kids, you would think the club would have a shop or something to buy them crisps, or drinks etc.
Next year, you'll see how we do it properly at Ferrycarrig Park

Very much doubt having kids in for free would be a panacea to our crowds.

And it's been mentioned before, but I'd be fairly sure Cup ticket prices are set by the FAI to ensure the away side is happy with its share of receipts.

I'm not going to drag this argument on and on but the tickets were pre-printed as 'Premier League Match' with the price stated on them. I must assume that it is the standard charge at Belfield.
I do think it would help the attendance if young kids were free with a paying adult. It would encourage the whole family to go more often

200 kids at €5 a pop or 300 kids for nothing

I'd know which makes more financial sense...

They can't get 200 adults (apologies, I mean students) for their home games let alone kids.

Just means we didn't bother printing up special League Cup tickets for the game.

To be honest, I think you're whining for the sake of having a whine now.

There's only a 50:50 chance our reserves will face you in the 'A Championship'.

Either way (ha!) you'll enjoy the experience at Ferrycarrig Park.

Depends if you're talking short term vs medium-to-long term financial sense though.

Having 50% more young people at your games would undoubtedly impact future attendances, and on a multiplying scale. Would also boost curent attendnaces too, on the assumption that someone has to bring most of those free kids to the games in the first place.

Without getting all Wacko Jacko, kids are the future...

Leave them to it DCFC Steve. They are quoting 200 kids at €5 a go when they only drew 200 in total with over 50 of us as away support. I think the maths students were having a lie down that day. Lord knows what information they put down on the grant application form

The 200 kids was probably a probability figure that they found on a spreadsheet. Divorced, of course, from the actual reality of their situation...

The 200 kids figure was a random figure I plucked out of the ether to illustrate a point.

I have no real interest of the happenings at the Bowl

    Cork v Wexford
    Galway v Derry

Had really been hoping for a home draw. It'll be next to impossible in Cork. Just have to hope they think it's a fore gone conclusion and don't turn up on the night.

    League Cup Semi Final Draw

    Cork v Wexford
    Galway v Derry

Obviously two clear favorites in these games but with a once off game you never know

We're supposed to play 4 games in 8 days that week.
    Thursday -away to Haka
    Sunday-Away to Sligo
    Tuesday-League cup
    Friday-Bohs at home.

If so, Given the amount of travelling and the importance of the other games I'd be expecting a lot of our reserves to line out for this .

I certainly wouldnt be writing off your chances completely.

Woo Hoo! That'll be a piece of p1ss! Seriously though, it didn't really matter who we got. I suppose you never know in a once off cup match but I'm just delighted we got this far.
