Ah....well unlucky, at least it shows he has done something since leaving Spurs. I thought he had become a nobody.
It seems Yeates' move to Crystal Palace is in doubt

The News of the World reckons that Paul Ince will bring Keith Andrews with him from MK dons to Blackburn - good and late opportunity for him.
Ireland call up. Imagine he was like Ryan Nelson.
Ok apparently he is a midfielder which sucks. I was hoping he was a defender.

sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I hope it works out for these lads, Conor McCormack at one time was one of those "next-fill in the blank" type of players, off to Serie B

IS the story of Given turning Arsenal down in favour of staying at Newcastle true? If so I'm very disappointed with Given, I wouldn't call it loyality, i'd call that lack of ambition
I don't quite understand of logic of saying a player who doesn't want to move to the Gunners or United lacks ambition? If you move to these clubs you are virtually guaranteed medals, is JOSH ambitious or happy to play a bit part and collect his medals?? Newcastle is a huge club and it may say more about Given's character and commitment to stay and try and wuin things there than move to the Gunners and win the easy way....just my 2c
Newcastle is a huge club??? Ha. Stadium size doesn't not a huge club make. Big clubs win trophies.
"No regrets, none at all. My only regret is that we went out on penalties. That's my only regret. But no, no regrets." -Mick McCarthy
It lacks ambition because you are not pushing yourself to play at the highest level you are capable of, surely playing in the champions league would be good for Given and Ireland as would playing in big title deciding games against the likes of MU or Chelsea rather than just playing for a mid table team who's biggest game of the year is probably a derby against Sunderland. The Josh situation is totally different because he is happy to be a bench warmer while Given would be a starter for Arsenal as he is better than the Aluminium chap
Yeah, but he gets much more practice at Newcastle.
Hoolahan to Norwich, nice move

I think its a very good move for Wes. Norwich are a much bigger club with bigger crowds to play in front of which will only help him.
They have being progressing steadily under Reoder & Wes will more than fill the gap left in the team by Huckerby's & Dublin's departures. I'd say he'll do well there. Could become a fans favorite!
He could just be using them as a stepping stone to the Preimer League...
He has taken the around about way so far to the Championship/Ireland call-up
"We didn't underestimate them. They were just a lot better than we thought."
BBC Gossip column
Cardiff are close to completing a deal for Everton defender Darren Dennehy after City held talks with the Premier League club earlier this week. (Various, 1550 BST)MK Dons captain Keith Andrews, 27, is a target for Watford as Hornets manager Aidy Boothroyd plots a return to the Premier League. (The Sun)
I'm all for ambition but we have to remember Given is in his 30's now and has been living in and playing for Newcastle for 10 years or so now, he is settled with his family and probably has his life pretty much the way he wants it. Would any of us uproot our families and move to the other end of the country to play for a club for whom we had no real affection or loyalty on the off chance that we may be their starting keeper (remember Wenger has shown great faith in Almunia) or we may end up warming the bench because we have a couple of dodgy games and the club can afford to splash out on a replacement. I'm sure Given would weigh up the pros and cons but at his age it is perfectly understandable that he doesnt want to move. If he were 20-24 then it would be a different story.
Help something bit me!!!
