its very easy to go pointing finger and blaming people for this and that, but in reality i would say that no anbody else puts more time and effort into the club.
most days if you drive by celtic park, u'll see his van there , underage game he'll be there A or B game he'll be there more often that not. he mite be very vocal and be not always right but for his great work and one would have to admire him...

the amount of work that fergie puts into the club is unbelievable, he would do anything for the club and i don't know why people are saying he has to go, he has done so much and will continue on doing so much more for the club.

    dykesie

sad to see him gone, things had to change but i can't blame the recent results on him, players get tired when they don't get any break at all after 3 years and a team including young lads who went so far in winning the f.a.i youth cup while playing for the first team as well. they are def tired and it's showing on all the players because by right celtic should be walking the mayo league with the players they have in comparison to how poor a lot of the teams are in the league. celtic shouldn't be losing to snugboro and shouldn't be drawing games when they are 3 up after 15 mins. i'm not making excuses just stating the facts!!!! i hope celtic can get back to playin good football again and showin more heart in games, maybe the new manager might bring that...... we'll have to wait and see!

I think you've just summed up the reign of Mr.G.D at Castlebar Celtic. He underachieved considering the resourses made available to him. His legacy is a tired, disillusioned team lacking in direction, focus and most importantly identity.
Def time for a new manager.

So that means who is front runner Declan Kilkellys name has been mentioned in the papers, he would be qualified and capable to do the job (sorry had to steal Brian Cowans line there)

Can i ask what did the grey one really do for Castlebar - yea ye won trophies in mayo but ye was doing that before he came along - ye got further in the FAI cup and Connacht but ye did not win anything!

i tell you one thing he did - he made alot of bad blood with some clubs in the Mayo league - rightly or wrongly - in his approach!

anyhow i hope declan kilkelly gets the jog - nice fellow and knows alot of the young players but will he leave snugboro?

2-0 whipping of Westport, not too bad of a week, 3 games Celtic V Wesport in A, B & C and the only defeat was that of the C team.
From what I saw the Covies look very directionless. Celtic were full of heart and really improved on what I have seen previously. The only doubt I would have maybe the keeper who looked very nervous, he is a young lad so that may take time for him to get confidence but was nailed to his line on more than 1 occasion tonite.

A team managed by Mick & Kevin, ExCiTeD will probably give a better view on the match later as I missed the 1st half.

hard to believe this is the same celtic team that lost to boro and drew with heane fantastic performance from celtic dont know what the caretaker managers said but it had some effect.celtic played with a passion and purpose that has not been there for a while

Well is there any reason why new boss/s is/are not appointed already.... ???
A response was obviously requested and received by the management.

there are many reasons. 1 one result doesnt make a season 2 club is taking applications till monday its in constitution of club that the job must be advertised 3 club are looking for a person with far more experience than the caretakers 4 caretakers dont want it 5 as youve said yourself the caretakers can get a bit excited on the line

the only mayo team to ever win in the fai senior cup and it was 5-0 as well!!!!! put up a great show against shamrock rovers in the next round, it will b a while before any mayo team repeats that!!!!!!

can you hear the leveller sing........... nooooooo nooooooooo. what have you got to say now with all your talk about celtic??????/?? i'm delighted 4 ya 2-0 to a way way better celtic team missing half their players. should have been way more goals for celtic, by far the better team, westport were made look like a team from the lower divisions, at times celtic played some serious football!!!!! made westport look awful bad, shows how much of a difference local lads make!!! have to compliment the managers as well, serious heart and commitment!!
