Having every Premier game coverage is a great step up.

I hated tuning into TV3 on the off-chance I might get 5 seconds chat about Utd. TV3 coverage was a joke. I'm glad RTE are doing what they are, but let us not forget that they are only doing it because of the link between the EL and the international games in the agreement they signed.

Ive said a lot of **** about Delaney, and I will continue to, but fair ****s to him for cornering RTE on the LOI coverage like he did.

We do. If you contact JaFrazer on the shels message board he might be able to sort you out. It's on the latest DVD released by the SSDG as well. See here

And I would rather see Shels v Dundalk than UCD v Derry, FFS that comment could start a lot of tit for tat crap. I'm all for showing first division goals/highlights of some of the top matches there.

I can't can't understand some of the crap posted on here by fans looking down on the first division just because they know (or think) they won't be playing there in the forseeable future!!

    It's the LEAGUE OF IRELAND!!!!

    Rant over.

For christ sake this kind of thing happens in other leagues all the time. It's not the end of the world the way some of the arm-wringing negative junkies on this board are carrying on.

    Grow Up FFS.
Eh wtf? Calm down there sunshine. Read my post again. I didn't say that the shirt scandal would cause damage. I was comparing the situation to the first division games over the weekend. On comparison the shirt saga would give the league alot more bad publicity compared to the first division. Learn not to jump the gun in future.

I hope to God they don't show Monaghan vs Limerick but I will say this to the people who feel the First Division will take the shine off of the Premier for our new sponsers and potential fans. Wake up ffs. Barstoolers aren't going to notice the difference between UCD and Derry playing infront of a few hundred fans and Longford and Fingal playing in front of a few hundred fans. The standard is **** compared to the normal coverage they get of the Premier and Champions League and it will be looked upon as an inferior product, whether the First Division is included or not

There are degrees of inferiority, and anyone who tries to claim that the standard is in any way comparable to EPL is off their rocker.
You can pick out unappetising fixtures all you want, but Premier Div. is, by definition, the best standard available in Irish football. An Irish football showcase on television should reflect that.

Agreed, but then saying that the First Division will drag the Premier down is ludicrious unless you are talking about into a browner shade of ****. Two cameras filming a bunch of hasbeens and neverwillbes will never impress the barstoolers, so why not keep your fellow LoI fans happy?

I would have thought that it was the barstoolers are an audience that this programme is aimed at and as such, surely we are best served promoting our best product. Louis Copeland hardly puts his worst suits in his shop window

He doesn't have his mate Roddy p1ssing all over them either, though.
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.
