Drogs have a new shop on quite a busy street which links the old shopping streets of the town with the new Scotch hall development. Any other clubs have something similar?
In Drogheda you are currently more likely to see kids in Drog gear than UK team kits - which is pretty great to see tbh

Harps club shop is located outside Finn Park and is usualy open monday to friday 9-5pm. Its amazing how much gear is sold during the week.
More and more kids around Donegal seem to be wearing Harps tracksuits, jersies, etc. Its encouraging to see and it shows that there is a potential for future developement of the league when so many kids are interested.
We have a shop in our offices in the city centre. The club plans to have offices under the new stand in the RSC so I'd say the shop could be going out there.
Limerick 37 have a club shop on Davis Street right across from the railway station and just a two minute walk from Jackman Park. Not only does the shop sell Limerick gear but it is also a place junior clubs can get kits, training equipment etc... they are selling all errea gear and specialise in goalkeeping gear. its open Thursdays/Fridays 1.00-5.30 Saturdays 10.00-5.30 and a late opening on Friday match nights till 10.00.

I came across cork citys shop the last time we played them last season. Have to say it was top notch and i was certainly very jealous. I certainly believe that to promote the league clubs have to be selling all sorts of stuff and have accessible shops open to the public and also on line. Thats great to here what drogs are doing and that Harps one is going strong. We need this type of promotion to make the league look fashionable and by the sounds of things its working.Im a mechandice fanatic and i buy a LOI jersey when ever i make the away games.
Galway Sports in the Eyre Square Centre sells all Galway United merch. It seems to open when you have no intention of buying anything and close once the idea comes into your head! the owner also runs the club shop in Terryland which opens on matchdays.

our own one in galway is in a pretty good location too,location does make a difference i think.
Good to hear that kids are wearing the local gear.
I dont see too much of it around Galway City, but then again, I don't live in the city so I'm not the best judge.

Dublin is the worst place to try to get EL gear. The Soccer Shop on George's st is the only place that springs to mind that sells most club's shirts. If I wanted to by a reds jersey you have to think about where to go, you can't just walk into any sports shop and get one.
I was on Grafton st and in the stephens green centre yesterday and I didn't see one EL shirt in any of the sports shops.
Imagine a kid who goes to an EL wants to get a jersey but goes in and sees the Man Yoo and Celtic ones all nicely presented and gets one of them instead, then they are lost forever.
I remember Arnott's used to do the Dublin club jerseys a few years ago but not anymore..
Shels, Dundalk and Longford are the only ones I remember seeing a few weeks ago

most lifestyle sports shops in dublin sell pats, rovers and shels jerseys. i think chapion sports have the same. also seen dundalk jersey in some lifestyles sports shops.
lifestyle in bray have loads of bray jerseys for sale (also rovers), and lots of people are wearing them around the town now - which is great to see.
Jako Sports in town sell Rovers merchandise. We also have a small temporary shop at the ground, usually only open during games afaik.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
For the record Cork Citys shop, 'City Centre' is not in the middle of Patricks Street anymore. Its at the Grand Parade end of it. Daunt Square is the correct address i think. Its smaller but a lot handier to get to and park near by. Heading into traffic on Patricks Street any day during the week was a nightmare, the new one is alot handier to get to now.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
is there anyway that the FAI could set it up with certain sports stores to sell EL teams jerseys around the country or would this have to be up to the individual clubs?. i know some stores sell some eircom league jerseys but what about more teams jerseys being avaliable in sports stores.
A couple of problem with getting League of Ireland gear into high-street shops.... (I'm no expert but this is my take on it)
These shops distribute their stock centrally, so pretty much every Champion in Ireland UK will have the same range of gear. They will only stock big name brands which will sell widely. I lived in Reading for a year in the 90s and was shocked at how hard it was to find a Reading jersey in town. Many clubs also use minor brands (O'Neill's, Jako, Errea) which don't get into high street shops. Some Irish clubs have benefitted from using Umbro etc recently- I've seen Shamrock Rovers' top in Arnotts etc, in the Umbro section. Finally, clubs understandably want to make as much as possible on their gear. If they sell out of the club shop at the ground they make 35 quid on a jersey. Sell it thru a third party and you might make a tenner a shirt.
But would possibly sell more than 3 times the quantity.... (?)
