Good to hear that Danny.
Our system was that we would aim for a number (22?) of significant business sponsors all contributing a lump sum of (I think) 3,000 to participate in a draw for the main Kit sponsor name. A draw is held (29th Feb this year), and the first out gets their name on the kit. All the other participants then get to "Sponsor" a player for the year, presumably on a draw basis with the next out getting to choose their player and so on down the line of those who remain. It has been quite successful so far and is about to enter its third season like this.
On one hand it means that we don't really get a major name sponsor or the money behind it (theoretically, if we could raise the money, the Independent Blues Supporters Club could be the Kit sponsor if the draw went right!), but then again the likelihood of raising as major an amount as we can do by raffling it off is slimmer.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!
