Hi Raheny Red. The crowds did drop during the year but the 'core' support of the club is growing. We lost our temporary stand during the year, which didn't help and the new stand has been delayed because of planning issues. We love our footie down here and the crowds will come as soon as our facilities are properly established

I don't mean to be over-critical, but that's just downright careless.

I think what actually happened was, the first stand with about 1,000 seats was needed by the company that it was rented from to be used at the Ryder Cup or some other big event. This was replaced with a smaller 600 seater stand, as far as I know this was only taken down near the end of the season in preparation for the building work on the new stand, which has now been delayed.

Passinginterest is right. The new stand was due to be completed during the off-season but the planning problem put it on hold. If you know the Youths Complex, the temporary stand for the coming year is being put up on the opposite side of the pitch and construction of the new permanent stand will continue through the season

    Bohs Pre-Season: from http://www.bohemians.ie/index.php/cl.../friendies.htm

Bohemian FC has confirmed dates for three pre-season fixtures.

Bohs will take on Kildare County at Station Road in Newbridge on Wednesday, 13 February. The squad will jet off to Spain for a training camp on the 17 February and will take on Spanish lower league side Marbella FC on February 20.

On February 26, Dundalk will provide the opposition in Dalymount Park for Bohemians, upon the team's return from Spain.

All matches will have evening kick-offs, but exact times have yet to be finalised. All updates, including any additional friendly matches, will be featured on bohemians.ie well in advance of the fixtures.

Good to see that there are a few clubs going away to the nice warm holiday spots for training - both Rovers off to Marbella for a week, then Bohs arriving arriving there two days later...

Does anyone else think... Nah, I must be just a little nit too conspiratorial.

Meanwhile, the Waterford United team building trip away will also be to a very popular resort town in a warmer southern coastal town, known for it's sandy beaches and the chance to get away from it all.

Yes, it will be an afternoon in Tramore.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Gosh, I've just realised how that must have sounded. Sorry. Tramore is WAAAAAAAYYYY better than Marbella any day. No choice in my mind over the two. Tramore every time
