Ok Attention all Bohs and or Longford Fans. I have long held the view that in order to make your clubs more attractive to potential supporters that either of your clubs should have considered getting your gear made by the same company as A.C. Milan all that would need to change is the badge. Likewise for Athlone I have felt you should do the same with Inter Milan.

Don Revie back in the 1960's wanted Leeds to be successful so he got them to wear the same colours as then 5 in a row European Cup winning side Real Madrid hence the all white. Athlone , Longford and Bohs could take a leaf out of that book by getting their kits made by the same company as A.C. Milan ( Bohs, Longford) and Inter Milan (Athlone Town) respectively. If the jerseys sold for less than the price of their Serie A counterparts and looked good, there might be a few Euros in it for the club coffers at worst. At best you might get a few more fans. Couldn't hurt could it?

Obviously Bohs are going to pocket a few quid from this deal, but it's a sore one to take for those fans who have shelled out good money for the diadora stuff. I paid full whack for a training top and shorts weeks ago and now they will be out of date... disappointing.

Diadora didn't do much merchandise for us. Unfortunate but at teh end of the day who cares. Its no big deal being up to date, this years shirt was the first one I bought in years because it wasn't O'Neills.

Just after looking at umbro ireland website and saw down the bottom of the page the irish clubs.

Drogheda and Sligo are both there.

    Have they signed?

B&W Picture of Cork City wearing hummel gear in the friendly v Cobh in today's examiner.

Not sure if it's the Cup final gear which is supposed to be launched Thursday but jersey seemed to white with the distinctive hummel V's running down the arms. Shorts were light coloured.

whats with the feel the difference writen on the back of the shorts, is it the difference between a poo and a fart, or what,

jersey looks good, but i must say i dont like that crest, i know it to distinguse it as cork city, and its very distingusable, but in the wrong way,

Similarly Derry City released 3 shirts in the last season and a bit (including one 3 months ago) and have now changed supplier.

Sporting Fingal going with O'Neills, or so I've been told.

We were with O'Neills last season and there was hassle getting gear
in so not sure if they are sticking with them or going back to Errea.

Incidently the current O'Neills rep we deal with was a rep with Errea
    when we had them.

In terms of getting jerseys available for sale O'Neills are a nightmare. Second season in a row we didn't get our jerseys for sale until May/June, after originally being told early April. Sizes are ridiculous too- a medium mens would be XL in most other brands.

O'Neills have been very good to us. Kit was only released last week but was first wore at the LC Final. We normally have to wait until the middle of the season before we can get the new shirt, though we deal with O'Neills in Strabane

Our team would get it without problem, it's getting the jerseys to sell to the public which is usually the problem.

O'Neills in Dublin is in Walkinstown so it's only a trip across the southside to us.

Umbro were very poor with merchandise for Kildare County last season. Think masita will be making the kit this year.

The feel the difference line is part of a sponsorship with Leisureworld gym/pool in Bishopstown.

I presume the idea is that since City players work out at Leisureworld you can "feel the difference" in that particular part of their anatomy. It was on this seasons shorts as well.

BTW a colour picture of that gear in the County section of the Examiner today and it does look good. All white with green trim.

hope we wear white jerseys on Sunday. We wore them when we won the league in the RDS in 93 and when we won the Cup in 1998.

Probably a bad sign that we're looking for omens in the shirt colour! Anyway I heard the shirt will be green on Sunday.

Monaghan United are staying with the same Kit as last season. Which is great coz I think it is the prettiest we have had in years!

It also means that the local press can keep using the picture of my sister, her friend and Mick Cooke!

True that, O'Neills shirts are a joke when it come so sizes. I have a medium one from 3-4 years ago and it still doesnt fit. Also they seem really out of proportion or something, the sleeves are huge and really wide compared to the body.

Glad to see the back of them, hated O'Neills.

Was delighted when we switched to errea, then diadora, and finally umbro. I always hated the GAA feel and look to the O'Neills jerseys - with the exception of our Blackburn-inspired white/black shirt in 1993/94. The current Cliftonville shirt, for example, just looks like a gaelic jersey, awful.

I noticed that too. Baggy GAA jersey.

While O'Neills may not be the greatest quality (sizes are guess work)I think the versions they have done for us in the last few years have been better than the GAA jerseys.
