Dingle is on the coast and has a harbour, so of course it would be included when judging the town of Dingle. All I'm saying, and I don't think I was being overly catty, is that the line has to be drawn somewhere before we start talking about the nicest scenic areas of the country.
I like Killarney as a town, and it's surrounding areas, by the way.

I agree with you, but I think Killarney is worthy of an exception in that light because, while granted a lot of the natural beauty is a few miles outside the town, there is enough (the Demesne - like a beautiful town park, and Ross Castle - on the lake with mountain views) in close proximity to the town centre to allow us to include them in saying what makes Killarney nice. You were right to raise the point, I just jumped as it is quite close to my heart. All this talk is making me homesick! Here's a nice picture to tie me over for a while - note; that is from seven miles outside Tralee so wouldn't be part of saying Tralee is a nice town for the purpose of this thread but it is motivation to live there.![]()
KH you're spoiling me with your pictures today!
So you liked my PM then? I was very happy with my posing alright.![]()
I suppose it would be a bit mean to deprive everyone else though. Here I am people.![]()

Carlingford is a wonderful place to visit.
As Irishmen we dilute our sense of nation by depending on the English to bring us our balls
Can't be 100% sure of the name but there's a little town in Kilkenny, may be Inisheoin? that has a lovely river running through it. Good spot for a quiet pint and a bit o' fly-fishing.

The West of Ireland is the wettest greyest overcast part of Ireland fact.
So the rest of it's charms are useless cause you have rain 350 days a year
Anywhere with an Eircom League of Ireland club isn't a total disaster area![]()
I like Killarney myself. Has a lot to offer!
Life isn't all beer and football...some of us haven't touched a football in months
Kilkenny and Cork are my favourite cities, Kilronan on Inis Mór is a good spot for a weekend.
