I thought the animations were good....the bit about the in-laws arguing and the father being on the verge of depression as a result of what happened...very true

Also, couldnt help thinking what could have been....We had a very strong team looking back.

aw man I could have watched a whole series of the animations with the players heads on them....the eyes on animated Niall Quinn were classic....

What happened programme 2 it wasnt on last Sunday due to football , so they just showed 3 this week ?. I was a bit disappointed in 1 but I thought 3 was alright. When did they show 2 ?

Good Programme, I liked the animation too thought it as quirky.. It was a time in my life I'll always remember, and people talk about perspective and worst things in the World, but for me the the sense of loss and desperate hope for some sort of resolution and eventually all hopes Dashed in that fateful week were all very real and personal, The rows with friends for months afterwards were memorable.. I suppose Sport matters

Not sure. I'd seen it before on the History Channel or UKTV History or one of those, so I wasn't too bothered about seeing it again, but there definitely was a bit of messing baout with the schedule.

BTW, 'Jungle Book 40th Anniversary Edition' is being released in November if anyone's interested

What if: Roy woke up in a good mood, had a laugh with Alan Kelly and turned a blind eye to the practice arrangements. How would the subsequent 5 years have turned out?

WOuld have lost to Germany and Holland wouldn't have scored against Cameroon because he might not have been playing

Not sure if we would have done much better in the WC.

But we certainly would have qualified for Euro 2004 and as Greece showed, that was a tournament which was there for the taking.

The Saipan hangover affected the team in the first two matches of qualification. If that wasn't there, we would have got more from those two games and Mc Carthy would have remained in charge. I think with Mick in charge, we would have also have done a lot better in the last two games and would easily have qualified.

We would have beaten Spain, Keane would have scored his penalty. We would also have beaten Korea, and then faced Germany in the semis...

I think it was the best chance we may ever have had.

We might not have done any better, but with the inclusion of one of the greatest players in the world at the time you would have to think he could have only helped the team - Who knows!

would have beaten cameroon, and germany.. then we sould have beaten parguay in the last 16, USA in the quaters, south korea in the semis, and then have been beaten 3-0 by brazil in the final...

Seeing as you have this Nostradamus-like ability to look forward and backward in time and into alternate universes, is there any chance you can let us all know the scores of all the matches on Saturday so we can lump on a huge accumulator and retire on Monday morning?
