    Wink A final twist

A final twist might still occur if the View dont get a result against the Village boys next Tuesday.Village will want to get a win in the group at home and pride is a great motivator. The Gratts would have to win their last 2 games well to go through, but the Veiw must be fav's.

Park and Bally look dead certs and Wilton look good too.

    Semi Draw maybe.

    Castleview
    WIilton
    Ballypheane
    Park

Could the Bally boys be headin for a hatrick of Mossie's

How would they be on for that? Bally won it last year but wasn't it Kinsale the year before? I'm sure Bally were in the 1st division...

    Red face whoops

whoops innish, your bang on,Kinsale beat Passage. The Bally boys if they do win the Mossie will have won it 2 years in a row. They won the St Micheal's 2 years ago so its kind of a hat trick.

Don't be so fast at writing off Springfield - If Kinsale and Knockavilla draw - and If the Springers can beat Wilton then they can go Thru'. With teams using the M/Linnane as pre-season games anything can happen on the last day!!. Come on the Springers!!.
I agree that Ballyphenane, Castleview and Park look good for the Semi - Final but the Wilton group - Not so Sure!!!!!.

i think you said it before wee man but i don't think the players get up for this competition. If teams do well then fine but if not then so be it. Thats why in my opinion most seasons you see "unfashionable teams" contesting this troophy. also I agree that Cork football seems to be at a high at the moment and capable of competing at the highest level despite the senior/aul debacle.
It seems preperation and coaching has improved big time and from management level it seems to have caught the players imagination and they are taking it on board. there were too many "journey men" managers doing the rounds in the cork aul who offered nothing or very little who have been replaced by eager commited guys. Just my opinion.

I agree on the management front. There is more to it that having players fit from laps and giving an old fire and brimstone speech before the game... A good team with a good shape about them will beat a team of great players with poor organization 9 times out of 10...

Thumbs up The times are a changin

We all know of or still have to suffer a manager who comes in shouts and roars, names the team then shouts for the rest of the game.Knowing nothin of formations or anything like that.

Our A manager goes over markin at frees, corners, everythin. That way players know what they are doin all the time and dont stand around like zombies for frees. It shows in they way they play as well, they look as if they know what they are doin on the ball and also when their chasen it.If and when he needs to change the style of play they are comfortable with it because he has worked with them on it.Its good to see managers tryin to learn new things because it helps the players to develope.

Small things like not kickn or touchin a ball till your warmed up or players arrivin wearin their club polo shirts for a game. These are the little things that let you know that players are thinkin about the game sometimes even before they even leave their house.Lets you know their head is in the right place.I think thats why football in Cork has come along so much in recent years, the players were always their its the managers that changed.

i dont think we can go through, its a balls with the knockvillamatch we lookewd more than capable of beating them like. Wilton will be really hard for us. The game is changed to sunday morning now, problem with the farm on sat or something. Even though theres millions of pitches there

There's a kids soccer blitz on Saturday so I believe UCC want to keep facilities specifically for the kids and therefore would not let Wilton use the pitch on Saturday.

I agree with that, all players could do with a bit of guidance to improve their game

We drew 2 all with wilton. We were reduced to ten men 2 mins into second half so with the searing heat and very wide pitch it was deadly for us, alot of running involved. referee made few big decisions that were dodgy to say the least. Good game all round very open second half. Bella gets off the mark in his 2nd game thank god.

How does that leave ye ? By my reckoning and I might be wrong Kinsale Qualify from that group correct me if I am. However a very good result for your team looks like ye have been putting it in pre-season. Also congrats on getting off the mark Bella - nice one!!.

Think kinsale are top alright, thats what few of the wilton lads siad, think it was goal difference, they beat knoockvilla 8 nil, what in the name of god was that about., what a balls bout knockvilla looking back on it. It was a good game we really could have won at the end too. Have to say i was impressed with the bite and attitude we showed today, this mightnt be a bad season for us.
