Sorry but there was no way i was getting out of my car to walk a field, anyway i was in a hurry. What i did see was a field with loads of long grass and i mean loads of long grass, loads of long greeny brown grass.

Did i mention that the grass was long.
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

may be part of a masterplan to ensure a lot of home games at end of season due to pitch being unplayable due to the long grass you keep talking about

Bunratty 3 Newtown 1, this evening, Newtown went 1 up from a penalty, Bunratty equalised from a penalty(Newtown had a man sent off for abusing referee) Newtown missed a penalty(strange decision to switch penalty taker). Bunratty pushed on from this and showed great fitness levels to overwhelm the 10 men.

Bunratty are moving along nicely and the odds of 16/1 if still on offer would be worth a flutter.

Good game to watch alot of nice football. To be honest the game was very tight until newtown got a player sent off.Just cant understand why Jay took newtowns first penalty and scored and didnt take the second one.

    Bunratty 3-1 Newtown

3 penalties awarded in the game and none of them should have been penalties. Do Newtown put much time in to practising diving in training cos it won them 2 penalties last night. He has it down to a tee that young fella. Although I must say the penalty Bunratty got was no penalty either. Ball struck a hand alright but was no way intentional. This decision led to the sending off which I felt was the turning point.
Bunratty defender very lucky to stay on the field for pull shirt of J OK but got back to make a great tackle... Newtown could argue I suppose this was the turning point.
Have to agree it was a small bit strange changing penalty taker but easy say that now. Cheeky would score 9 out of 10 from them.
Good game though and typical of these 2 teams.
Never heard so much bickering from the line to a referee... Maybe this was the reason for 3 spotters that were'nt...

Anyway on to the next game for both teams. Tough one for Bunratty away to Moher...and Newtown travel to Lifford without Derek B.

what young fella kept falling over in the bunratty box ... who took first penalty . i does seem a bit strange changing penalty taker after he scored first one . good result for bunratty in the end and a bad start to season so far for newtown ..

Think it was cheeky going down in the box(apologies to the lad if im wrong). Jason Stretton hit first spot kick. Cheeky hit second.

It was actually 6 - 0.Lifford also missed a penalty.
Rineanna were missing 6-7 players that would have started.Very poor performance though.....

Just on the topic of facilities..

    Premier only.
    Avenue Utd
    Newmarket Cel
    Burren Utd
    Lifford
    Bridge Celtic
    Bunratty
    Rineanna Rvs
    Kildysart Cel
    Moher Celtic
    Newtown

I know Newtown, Newmarket, Bunratty and now Lifford have good facilities, not sure of the rest but do the rest of the Clubs have anything
or even have any plans in the pipeline

only because you were so excited to see dressing rooms & showers i thought you had not visited other ground mentioned ... long overdue for a lot of clubs and more clubs should have the same facilities
