From the fan of the club that had the ego-driven wisdom to appoint Fenlon when the dogs on the street knew he was a chequebook manager.

Stephen Kenny had a budget comparable to Fenlon and we were out of the title race mid season. We also went out of the cup to (I think it was) Kildare.
Anyway, scenario - Connor gets the chop for the poaching incident (if true) Fenlon comes to us, Connor goes to Derry.

Not the only reason why he was sacked!

He had the biggest budget in the clubs history and we were rubbish that season IN THE LEAGUE.

He couldn't handle the pressure going into the home game with Leavdia, made a stupid team selection call and lost his job.

    Rightfully so!

    Thumbs up

U can keep that Connor bucko at Bohs, he's a spoofer.
Maybe, Roddy could take him to Louis Copelands to sort out the red tracksuit thing and the two of them could get the next ferry out of Dublin, we would all be happy

By the way it's David Jeffrey.

Also there is a better chance of Sven becoming the new Derry City manager than David Jeffrey.

David Jeffrey is on a hefty wage at Windsor, doing a part-time job. He is also a big wig Social worker. So it would take one hell of a pay check to tempt him to Derry City.

That's not to mention the fact that he is a big blueman and wouldn't leave to join another club on this island(unless NI national team job was offered he would consider it).

If you knew him, you wouldn't believe that for a second. Although he does insist he is a Christian, but would admit a terrible advert for a Christian.

That's your call. Maybe you should go onto the Irish League forums and ask the rest of the Linfield support. Any of them that know him would back it up.

So who should we have appointed instead ?

Name me one other decent manager who was available (Obviously means not Shoddy, or the sort of mid-table ones that UCD invariably gravitate towards... ).

Mike Newell would be the ideal manager imo. He only got sacked when his Chairman made him sell all his best players at Luton.
