I just hate those Tout bar-stwards
Over the years I have been to loads of games without a ticket and as luck may have it I have always managed to buy a ticket off friends of fans who couldn't make it on the day .
One of the best times was out in America at the world cup there was about 4 Scouse touts buying and selling at the Irish games , again I didn't have a ticket for the Mexico game and as I was asking everybody who walked past me one of them said that he had one but it was going to be really expensive , I told him where to go before he told me the price .
Anyway an hour before kick off still with no ticket a little group were around the touts and one Irish lads was going mental and having a go at the touts about four police rushed in to see what was going on and found two of them with a hand full of tickets .
Now the cop knew what was going on he took the tickets and shouted to us all anybody want tickets as these two are selling them for face value , I got two ( me and the wife ) and a few others as well the cop said if he saw either of the two of them again they would spend the rest of the world cup in the cells and I never did see them again .

Agree totally bout touts. At the World Cup last Summer i went to Japan V Brazil game in Dortmund and they were all over the place selling tickets for €250 upwards. Half an hour before the game I just chanced my arm to see how much it cost and I offered him a fiver over the face value for the ticket and he said no, however he came back over to me and I got it for a fiver extra.
However I was never more nervous trying to go through the turnstiles, I don't think I could ever do it again. Got in anyway and was a decent game

if any one is ever at gigs in dublin there is this big fat dublin lad with a dodge leg touting, he is almost at every gig...I was over at the world cup in the summer and seen him dressed in shorts at the germany costa rica match touting i couldnt believe it the fat git...its a full time gig for these lads, alot of unscupulous dough to be made

there were loads of irish touting tickets during the world cup there was one irish girl in particluar ( think she was a dub) i saw at a few different games !

these are the touts you see and fair enough we know alll about them but have a flick through your nearest tabloid and see what so-called 'travel agencies' are selling 'ticket-only' packages for!!! w@nkers!!

scottish cup final 2 night trip is €395 but you can get a 'ticket only' package for €220. tickets will be face value from £20 stg.

my own 'wag' applied for tickets too (on my insistence) and was also successiful but upon finding out the good news she was swiftly informed that the tickets were not available to her.... a personal PFO if you want!!

we better qualify now because i've gotten through the 'flying saucepan' stage relatively unscathed for once!!!

Yeah we thought of doing that but thought would get too much hassle and lads wouldn't even bother mentioning it even if we got tickets as why get hassle when we mightn't even qualify, its like wasting precious credits getting in trouble for something that mightn't happen. It took the wags ages to figure out what we meant by WC when making a previous application

So out of the 6 of us that applied for group FMT I've heard back from 4 of them and we got one successful application. If we get one from the remaining 2 we'll be made up. If I could I wouldn've chosen FMT Group plus quarters (covered by a fortnights holidays) but it was just between Group and Tournament and the price of the latter one for one person was around the same as the group for 4 people !!!

One other fella who has friends over there applied for a long combination of individual matches based of geography, travel logistics and meeting up with friends varying between singles and pairs and even categories. You'd want to see the application stretching through various groups, quarters, semi and final.

He got absolutely nothing back which prompted me to think was it an all or nothing application in which case he should left out the final and semis. But I see someone posted that they got the quarters and not others so I presume thats not the case.

He was very suprised to not pick up a Category C group match single ticket like and his friend applied using her Swiss address and got nothing either. Apparantly its all over the news over there people going mad about it, smelling a corporate/sponsors dirty rat. There was meant to be a certain preference quota for Swiss/Austrians worked into the neutral tickets.

The way I see it all the stadia over there have capacities of 30k except Basle at 40k and Vienna 50k I think. So demand is gonna by far outstrip supply so on the question before about who will get tickets from FAI remember that this allocation will be much smaller than the level we're accustomed to.

Has anybody here applied for single tickets to random games and got them?
It seems as if only those who ordered the follow your team tickets got them!!

ya applied for four games completely random. was hoping to go over even if we didn't qualify. guess what? i didn't even get 1. did the same for the world cup after we didn't qualify and that was much later on and i got 4 out of five. i am absoluetly sickened and now there can only be one way. we bloody must qualify! i am thinking i definitely should have applied for the team specific tickets. should have, was going to have, but i did not have a mastercard and bank transfers were not accepted
