It was the reserves but they still had a strong team out according to the Sunderland official site. Stephen Wright, Kenny Cunningham, Stanislav Varga, Clive Clark, Tommy Miller, Ross Wallace, Arnau and Anthony Stokes were all due to play.
I think all of them except Stokes played.
I saw their team up somewhere on the web yesterday.
