Jack didn't fancy Sheedy. Just not true as already explained. However, come 1990 when Jack still played Sheedy, his best years were behind him. He used to score some superb goals for that very good Everton team of the 1980s.
However, I agree I might have misinterpreted the part where he said "Jack put a stop to all that". Can be interpreted as referring to the Soviet's style of total football as well as opposed to Sheedy's great football so I'll put my hand up there if I am wrong![]()
