The worst game: Ireland 0 0 Iceland. Horrendous.

If you think the current Lansdowne is a kip, you must be a child of the new generation. Us older supporters remember standing in the shed behind the goal at Dalymount with a couple of hundred people above us sitting on the corregated iron roof wondering will the shed collapse on top of us And the funny thing is we thought it was a great stadium (ground).

Ah the youth of today with their all seater stadiums....

Wurthers Originals - just a marketing ploy. Don't remember them. Give me bullseyes, lime, lemon and acid, spangles and acid drops.

Why do you have to bring everything back to Keane? Do you sleep with a picture of him held close to your chest (or elsewhere ). As it happens the worst game I mentioned above (Iceland), Keane was playing, albeit at centre-back.

All crap - one competive defeat at home (his last game) against the Swiss you mention. No doubt you were one of the boo boys at the game or perhaps you prefer the barstool. All crap! Liechtenstein at home 5-0. Crap!

Sorry if the friendlies bored you. Did they excite you more under any other manager?

my mistake I got confused between Lichenstein and Lithuania.
as I said before I never booed macarthy as I dont agree with it.
what is this barstool accusation you keep throwing out?
have been going to Ireland matches for years. and I dont like watchin football down the pub.
on a side note I see you had another great game last nite. "lets hear it one last time for the old lansdowne"
would you ever just announce the teams and leave it at that?

My favourite Lansdowne memory. "The attendance tonight is thirty-four thousand" Hooray!

The fact that the attendance announced was almost always exactly divisible by 1,000 led to suspicions that the guy was talking through his hoop. Last night he rounded off in style by giving the attendance as 34,000 again, despite a large chunk of the North Terrace being closed with plenty of empty seats around.

Whenever someone is introduced to the crowd, BEFORE THE APPLAUSE IS EVEN FINISHED, he says "and let's have one more round of applause...". Last night again, "let's have one final Lansdowne Road roar". YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME, PA GUY!

And what about when someone is introduced to the crowd. We are asked to give not one, not two but three rounds of applause (when they come on, stand in the middle and leave the field). "Let's hear it once again....."

I squirm whenever he opens his mouth.

Was that you doing the semi-streak? Pretty poor physique - too much bar stooling.

Tell me about it. Used to love going to Kavanaghs on Camden Street which had every selection of "rot gut" as my father used to call the sweets. Now the shop is all moderised and doesn't stock the old favourites and my annual dentist bill is halved - probably becuase I've no teeth left

Reminds me about the Swiss and French games last year, when the FAI had to accommodate the eL section in "extra" seats after we dared to kick up a fuss for our tickets being cut. The attendance was announced both times as "another full house!", presumably because they couldn't call out the actual attendance as it'd be over the legal limit.
