Shelsweb forum says that no officials turned up and that the teams played a friendly which Shels won 6-1.

Apparently Shels' game against Bohs was controversially called off at the weekend. No word on a possible replay. If Shels win, we play fourth in the Northern section at home - probably Dundalk or Drogheda. If Shels don't win and Rovers or Bray don't win by ten-ish goals, we come second and play third in the Northern section at home - again, either Dundalk or Drogheda. It was Drogheda who knocked us out of the Cup.

Shels are playing Bohs at the weekend, so that will decide whether or not we finish first or second I think. Not to sure whether or not Shels-Trinity game was a win for Shels or not. Shels would have to win both games to top the group.

    Code:
    DUBLIN SECTION
    			P	W	D	L	F	A	PTS
    UCD 14	8	3	3	31	13	27
    Bray Wanderers 14	7	4	3	24	14	25
    Shamrock Rovers 14	7	4	3	28	19	25
    Shelbourne 12	7	2	3	19	14	23
    St Patrick Ath 14	4	5	5	21	27	17
    Bohemians 13	3	4	6	15	20	13
    Crumlin Utd 14	3	4	7	13	24	13
    Dublin Univ 12	0	3	9	7	27	3
The table is missing Shels against Trinity, and for some reason Trinity are missing a game.

According to the Shels' forum the officials never turned up for the Trinity v Shels game and they played out a friendly which Shels won 6-1. It seems to have been credited as a league game in the papers and on aertel. Where does your table come from?

The Cork site has all the tables. They look official and include the Trinity v Shels game as 1-6. Sligo and Drogheda still have to play too (postponed on Tuesday because of Sligo's cup game) which will decide who we and Shels play in the last 16.

i was wondering, in quarter finals what way is it laid out? is there any seeding? or is it anyone can play anyone?
I'd love to invent a time machine then go back in time and win the lottery, buy new players and a stadium. Time machines are brilliant aren't they- Ian Holloway

There's the round of 16 first.

If we come first we'll be playing 4th in the Northern section,
if we come second we'll be playing 3rd in the Northeren section.

Both would be a home fixture.

Open draw I think but I'm not sure about that.

We're playing Dundalk tomorrow night. Bohs handed Shels a 3-0 walkover.

    Quarter Final draw

    Cobh Ramblers v Cork City
    Shelbourne/Derry City v Sligo Rovers/Athlone Town
    Drogheda United/Bray Wanderers v UCD/Dundalk
Kerry League/Salthill Devon v Galway United

Anyone going to the game tonight?

I know it didn't make any real difference to anything but it's pretty shoddy of Bohs to give a walk over to a team still playing for something in the league.

Ouch. Two teams who have already beaten us this season.

We would have gotten an easier draw if Bohs had beaten or drawn with Shels.

Beat Dundalk 6-2 tonight. 4-0 at half time. Goals were Moran 2, Forsyth, No.5, somebody and a Kieran Harte penalty.
