Was at the Ballybough end fro the waterford game. THe Blues fans [ a handful] congregated there and were soon followed down by about 25 little scummers whose sole intention was to intimidate and stir. They ranged in age from about 12-16. There was a single steward at that end who paid no heed to a simmering situation. The Blues fans were unmoved and the little s***s eventually moved away, unfulfilled.
Banning U 16's from the ground is a foolish knee jerk reaction. WE want to attract kids; make them members - cards and photos - then f them out if they're caught misbehaving.
Money? They break in probably over a wall somewhere, or wait until the end and get in for free when the gates are opened!
Sitting pretty!!!
Whatever about the safety issue - and it is only time before soemone gets sreiously hurt at Tolka; this makes the league look ridiculously amateurish.
As a side note, eL weekly showed a "display" by Shels fans before teh game whcih looked suspiciously like flares being let off. I wasn't at the game myself, but surely they will be fined for this anyway.
I was surprised to see TV3 make a big deal about this in a positive way as it's obvioulsy totally illegal and other clubs are regularly fined.

The Display was organised by BD and there were NO FLARES involved at all! The only flare lit in Tolka park on Friday night was in the away stand by the cork supporters.
Shels fans organising the display obeyed the rules and used smoke bombs and flags.
you are my sunshine, my only Sunshine......
Fair nuff - just asking![]()

Relax with the abuse Northside hoop.
I have no problem with flares myself, just noticing that clubs get fined for them usually.
