I was only 8 at the time, TBF, but from what I remember, very little happened in the 120 minutes of the actual game, and the penalties were by far the liveliest part of the action.

I watched that Norway game back over covid and I was surprised at how not too bad it was actually. We dominated midfield, often played some nice stuff to get to the edge of the box, and then didn't have a clue what to do )so no surprise that our best chance was Sheridan's chip from outside the area)
The Egypt game I've never seen since the day and I can't remember it at all. In the Holland game, John Aldridge had a perfectly good goal ruled out for offside a few minutes after Gullit scored and nobody really minded. The linesman said it was offside, so it was offside, and of story. Different times.
stick to politics lads !!!![]()
If I question Liam Scales ability to play intl football, refer me to this signature & his peformance at home at lb vs Port on Nov 13 2025.

Sheridan's chip landed on the roof of the net. Norway clipped the bar about ten minutes earlier - does look like they should have done much better alright

What a goal Sheridan's effort would have been!
Folding my way into the big money!!!
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
The highlights are a bit crappy because the efforts on target were all dreadful. Really effective pressing, nice approach play, and an awful shot don't make for great highlights
I should say that "how not too bad it was" wasn't intended as a particularly ringing endorsement
