The "Here We Go Again" New Manager Thread

With the weekend in sight and moral at another all time low, I figured this thread might be required by next week. Its soul destroying to have to go on another manager hunt so soon after the last debacle but chances are its on the horizon. I wanted Hallgrimsson to work, he seems like a great fella, but Im not sure theres any way back for him after the Armenia game. When we were on the last manager hunt, one of the requirements from the FAI was that the manager would live in Ireland, I dont think that ever happened did it? I dont think it matters either way but it just seemed to go away after he was appointed. His contract is up soon and its hard to imagine bar miracles that he'll get offered a new one.

SO, whats next? Is there anyone in the last year that might have built a stronger case for themselves since the last search? Will we have a similar sh1tshow to the last search or will it be better now that MarC is gone? Does anyone even care anymore?

Considering the next Euros is partly in Ireland will the FAI go for a big name Irish Manager? Roy, Robbie, Duffer..... JOS?

Again, does anyone even care anymore?????
    Its really not that complicated!!!

Willy Sagnol. Get him a house out in Blanch.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Kevin Doherty. Not sure he'd leave Drogheda for it but it's at least worth asking.

Who does the, about to be required, searching is just as important.
Mr Air Gapped Courell driving Packie around is it ?
Hill & Canham were truly terrible human beings but they had a profile they were there, visible. Their replacements, less so.
The government wouldn't even let the FAI look after the money it got for academies from the budget, remember.
I wouldn't let them look after a fcuking pencil case, myself.

Jim Gavin is looking for a new little something to fill his time. Transferrable skills, neck like a jockeys bo**ox on him, used to the big noisy crowds.
Give him a few corporate boxes to rent out as a perk.

A Eurovision style vote is the way to go. No air gapping or guarantees of time frames that wont be met. Just go around the counties and let the committees decide. The big bogger from Offaly or Leitrim on the telly saying " Roy Keane, nul point". Be classic tv!

& end up with McGregor managing The Éire. We'd have the disciplinary record of a Bloody Sunday para, but no one would want to play us at least.

The next manager will have to be a back to basics type I think. Pack the defence, pack the midfield, one up front and make ourselves more difficult to beat. Sit tight and then use the likes of Johnston, Ogbene and Ebosele to play on the counter attack against anyone other than complete minnows. Get us to the Euros one way or another and make sure we don't embarrass ourselves once we're there.
