    Wexford (H)

The final home game of 2025, and while it's fair to say there won't be 1200 in attendance tomorrow night, hopefully 6-700 will give the squad an appropriate send-off before the two away matches next week. Of course the side from the Model County are in the thick of a playoff tussle with Treaty, so Mikey Rowe and Co will be going all guns blazing for three points, and the three previous encounters have certainly been hard fought. There are no further Kerry injuries, and an assessment will be made of Matt Connor's fitness before the game, but a draw's probably the best we can hope for tomorrow, even if a win would be a welcome confidence boost ahead of Ballybofey on Monday.

Mikey Rowe was sent off last Sunday Culloty. Hopefully he is suspended. He always scores against us.
Most of the stand seats are gone so hopefully a decent crowd.
    I'm going for a 2 2 draw.

Hopefully there is a bumper crowd for the final home game. Be great to finish the season on a high.

I was hoping your prediction was going to be right after the second was struck. Pity for the last home game to fizzle out. Didn't really create chances in the second half. Adams going off injured in the first half didn't help.
Wexford and Treaty are in a head to head battle for the final playoff spot. Kerry haven't had the league consistency to challenge them.

Fully agree on consistency, has been problem all season really.

Looked very leggy tonight, especially in 2nd half, completely outmuscled.

Decent crowd tonight for a nothing game really, looked bigger than the reported attendance of 686 too. Our attendances follow the same as most regional clubs, start strong, drop off in the summer and then pick up again from late August onwards. Club will need to think about what they do during summer to attract more. Need to offer more than just the game - try make a better experience with fan zone, kids entertainment etc.

Fully deserved win for Wexford. Looked much more comfortable on the ball. Could have been a couple down at half time but for Foley. Never heard Healys interview afterwards but I'd imagine he's not happy with that.
Decent crowd alright unfortunately it was all very flat. Don't know was it hangover from Sunday or the teams poor performance but the crowd didn't get involved until we went 1 down.
Can see a big turnover of players now in the off season.

Thought the attendance was higher as well. Decent support considering the current position and playoffs out of reach.

I wasn't overly impressed by Wexford up until the game turned on those quick fire goals. They are comfortable on the ball granted. Stephen Elliott, a former teammate of Colin Healy, has managed them well. From a Kerry perspective we should be in the mix challenging Treaty and Wexford.

When Colin Healy came in, he said young players can be inconsistent. He started a few players last night who didn't exactly grab the opportunity. Whether the resources are there to bring in that bit of experience remains to be seen. It is important to retain the visible connection of local talent coming through. There needs to be a blend of experience and strong recruitment if possible to push on for the top half.

There will be big turnover as is the case with most clubs in the division and definitely we need to retain the better local players. Healy should have the resources to challenge for 4th / 5th place at least. I do hope recruitment is better, we brought a lot of players in which gave us a stronger squad. Next season I would prefer to bring in maybe 6-7 better players (probably have to be full time) and round out squad with local players who will learn and develop faster playing with better players. Quality over quantity..

"Post Match Colin Healy branded tonight's performance as "Unacceptable", even noting that it's the first time since he arrived that he doesn't know did his players want it enough."

I was down near the warm-up. I wasn't even impressed by that. Flat.
I thought they started the game ok. The bit of freedom of having more time on the ball after the semi final. Needed to score early really to inject something into the game.
Second half was bit more of a head scratcher. No clear pattern. I know Wexford needed the win but after 1200 supporters in Tallaght, there should have been a strong desire to put on a show for the home support.

Delighted Healy called the players out on that. Some of them were just going through the motions. Really disappointing after the high of the cup semi.
