Jeez not sure how Sligo slipped my mind. Could be a great option for him as well.

O'Reilly is with Killarney Celtic since September.

Patrick McElenny on the Derry transfer list...bit of a Simon Power one, good to have in the Squad as long as you only need 10 or 15 games a season out of him.
An expemsive luxury which is harsh but true

McElenny is 32 though. I can see more use for an explosive 26 year old winger who needs managed game time than a player who is probably going to retire after their next injury, not counting the cup final one.

HE is a class act though way better player than Power but at the same time as you say at 32 compared to 26 Power has more long term in him.
That being said at 32 he isnt exactly old and if he was playing in a squad where he was lightly used he could be a big game player.
With the disaterous run of injuroes we had which basically cost us the league youd have to imagine he wont be going to Rovers anyway..or weve learned nothing

If he’s leaving Derry then he’s got Irish League written all over him at this point in his career

An awful lot of ex DC players are in NIFL now!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

As you say 32 isn't old but I don't think you can discount his injuries and the impact that has on the length of career. As I said would you be surprised if he got another injury and decided to hang out up? I wouldn't. Same can be said for Power if he picks up some other serious injury.

Axel Sjoberg could'nt stay fit for five minutes before Kenny arrived and they got him playing regularly so maybe Kenny and his team think they can do something similar with Power

Yeah Kenny managed it very well protecting him by not playing him back to back to back Monday Friday games in the busy period when he wasn’t long back from injury, subbing him off when he had knocks etc. That and better S&C stuff from Graham Byrne and the rest of the new backroom staff Kenny brought in worked wonders with Sjoberg

    Injections. Loads of them.
As Irishmen we dilute our sense of nation by depending on the English to bring us our balls

Kenny's really not helping the perception of Pats being junkies

Big time, shooting up the league from 8th to 3rd did the image no good

Completely forgot Junior was even at Galway. That lad has done some job getting multiple paydays in this league based off one good season.

Waterford getting all their post-season announcements out of the way at once, at least where the present squad is concerned:

Surprised to see that Ben McCormack was only on a one year deal considering they paid Pats a fee for him as confirmed in their signing announcement for him last winter
