I am losing the run of myself but could he be our, Marco Van Basten ( sure ya have to lose the run of yourself every now and again )

Well Brighton feel he'll break the British transfer record set by Caicedo's sale and don't think they'll be wrong. Can see Chelsea chasing him like a dog on heat next summer. They love throwing money at Brighton. Arsenal another club that could do with a CF. Big clubs are gonna be throwing big money at Brighton for him.
First goal was a tap-in that fell right to him. Second goal he wasn't closed down for no apparent reason, which is unlikely to happen again. Third goal was a deflection.
He'll be on the bench at Bohemians by next summer.
His mindset is incredible. He's on Sky here and gets asked about his hat trick and responds by referring to getting beat last week.
Redknapp "Your dad played a bit?"
Evan "Yeah, he tried."
I don't place much in that hat trick other than to say that the first goal showed great awareness and the second even better awareness of the keeper's position. It is more than likely a one off for Evan. And I'd be just as happy with three one goal performances from him over the next 4 or 5 games. Consistency will be his best friend.
Christ - Michael Owen had scored three top flight hat-tricks by Ferguson's age! I know it was a different era, but that's an utterly phenomenal stat
I kind of poo-poohed the suggestion of a nine-figure transfer back in March. But let's go wild here (and I don't usually go for that, so indulge me this once!) - is Ferguson actually going to be as good as Haaland?
Certainly has a similar brick ****house build about him, a range of goals from pure power to clinical poaching. One of the five youngest players to score ten Premier League goals (obviously Haaland not eligible for that one). Nominated for PFAI Young Player of the Year, which Haaland won - but Evan is what, four years younger?
I'd love to see him get a run of starts now and see what he does. I'm sure his playing time is being carefully managed, but how do you not let him loose after a hat-trick against the side that came fourth last year?
In other news, it's a bumper Fantasy Football week for me, with Ferguson and Haaland up front. 57 points - thank you![]()
The short answer to that is no, there isn't. There are plenty of exceptional young attacking players, the likes of Arda Guler, Bellingham and Musiala. But out and out centre forwards are like hen's teeth these days and there's really no other striker out there in the 17 to 19 age bracket who is anywhere close to Ferguson's level.
Nine league goals for Atalanta was enough to convince Man United to spend massive money on Rasmus Hojlund this summer. Ferguson already has 10 in a better league and he's 18 months younger.
I’ve only the 81 so far. Sadly don’t have Evan but have Son, Haaland, Mbeumbo!
Ferguson took his goals well. I said he’d learn a lot from a tough outing against West Ham and it looks like he did. I though until he scored he did look a little bit lower on confidence and not as assertive as in other games. But from when he scored he was superb. Got much more involved in play and gave the centre backs nightmares. His movement is just incredible, comes short goes in behind, near post, front post, not at all predictable but makes sure his midfielders can pick him out.
Quick note - he's hit ten Premier League Goals 238 days younger than Robbie Keane - I know, Robbie also had over 20 in the First Division already but that is still terrific
I’d be interested to know the minutes on pitch comparison as opposed to appearances.
