And Scotland and the IFA Representative Team have to make it worse. Eugh.
I'm sorry to say I don't think he'll ever have a finals. I don't think he'll be backed long enough.
I'm still raging about Randolph. They made a fool of him.

DID YOU NOTICE A SIGN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE...?
That's hard to take.
& NI go through on penalties...making it that bit worse.

That Slovakian team were very poor. Hopefully now Kenny starts to phase out the likes of Hendrick, Hourihane and McCarthy. The midfield has been a weak link in our team for years now. Browne did more than all three combined when he came on.
We have three players in our midfield who are constantly criticised for going missing for their clubs for large spells of the game. Its hard enough to carry one of those players in your team never mind an entire midfield full of them.

Randolph moved too quickly, and should have saved the last one.
Of course the players who missed strikes, during the game and in the shoot-out have to put their hands up.
Another collapse of the Delaney dream, watching other teams play in Dublin next summer.
Wow, Sadlier tearing into McCarthy in the post-mortem.
Sadlier absolutely spot on there.

Sickener. We're behind the north and Scotland, now, as well as Wales and England.
There's a huge amount of catching up to be done.
Daggers out from Maloney
Disapointing end to our campaign, however now is the time to go with the young guns, Northern Ireland came through a tricky tie tonight and good luck to them against Slovakia.
Very poor going to fail to score against that Slovakia team in 120 minutes. They had little about them with their best goalkeeper, best defender and best midfielder all missing. And we still couldn't beat them. Just Duffy's header to show for 300 minutes of football in the last month. Nowhere near good enough. Northern Ireland now likely to be playing our home matches in Dublin next summer, if it goes ahead.
Not one player under 25 played for us tonight. Obviously circumstances partly caused that but still, it shows that a major overhaul of the team is now needed. I think we can more or less forget about the next World Cup with these players - especially our midfield, it's hopeless. Depends on how the draw goes I suppose. But there's an argument for a total rebuild now with a view towards 2024. Kenny's trying to play a brand of football that a few of these players simply aren't technically good enough to play. So time to bring in some that are, even if results take a hit in the short term.
When you look at our last Nations League campaign, the Euro qualifiers and the first two games of the current Nations League campaign, all we've managed is two wins against Gibraltar and a home win against Georgia. It's been a three year disaster since the win in Wales in 2017. It's time for a clear out, we literally have nothing to lose now - it can't get much worse.
