I want to lose both. Harry Arter is not commited 100% to us and Keane is a negitive influence

Might be just me, but the extent to which a player being 100% committed matters to me, is inversely proportional to how good a player they are and how much they offer the squad.

It’s almost as if the sports papers need to blow something up just to generate some interest around the national side. That’s how low we have fallen. We cannot generate interest around the stuff we do on the field so let’s make out Keane is going full on bad cop on these poor innocent delicate flowers.

Players have disagreeements with fellow team mates and coaches all the time. So long as Keane hasn’t tried to strangle him what is the big deal? If Arter is prepared to throw away his international career over an argument then more fool him. Even if he cannot stand Keane you’d think he would want to prove him wrong by showing what he can do on the pitch.

Well lets be fair. He was excellent against Wales away and Austria away. Woeful against Denmark at home and really really poor against Georgia away.
I would prefer to have him if he was committed, but not under these circumstances

And I could say that I'd prefer to have an assistant manager who puts his country before his own personal interests (and the same for Mick too btw).

However better to hold back on the value judgments unless you have your own hotline .......................

Signs on loan for his brother-in-law at Fulham, Scott Parker, until the end of the season. Grand move.

Ahh. Forgot Scot Parker was the Fulham boss. Was disappointed when I seen the news. Makes more sense now. I was hoping he’d get another pop at Bournemouth.

Harsh. Don’t think he has been well treated by us to be honest.

I wonder what damage the reaction to Paul Merson saying he should be in the England squad did to Arter's feelings about playing for Ireland?

Not sure why the hatred for Arter on here. Would have been much easier for him to kick back and rest up during international breaks instead of turning out for us. He's an excellent player when fit, and we could really use him.

He is a fine player when fit. That Glen Whelan gets in to the squad ahead of him is only down to his injury woes. Head to head in a green shirt, Arter has performed as well as if not better than Jeff Hendrick.

To a certain extent that is true. Had a tough run with injuries and did not have a chance to build up momentum and make the position his own. Unfortunate, but that is football.
On the other hand he was more effective in a few appearances than Whelan ever was for us.
Arter's worst moments for Ireland (which were few) were better than Hendrick's who continues to go from average to poor game in and game out.
