Leaving that point, i'm hearing there's a fierce shift out the southside with Greenwood losing quite a few players? If it's true it's a right shame when you have an exodus from both the Mossie and AOH winning teams.
im a glory hunter ??i had 2 clubs in 3 years and helped out at leeview how am i a glory hunter.and those players in question had left the prem league winners to play for a club that ended up 3rd from bottom and just stayed up.

Sorry 1 for . I don't care what your reasons . Leaving a club this close to the start of the season is not on.

To be honest a lot of clubs are finding it hard to keep squads . As has been posted I think loyalty and clubman days are gone but we need to understand loyalty works both ways is club to player and player to club . In my humble opinion I think guys just want to play and won't spend time on bench . Be a sub on a prem team or be a star on a first or second team . I'd be honest I'd like to try and play at the highest level I can and as a lot of guys on here know me I do spend a fair bit of time on the bench . But I'd prefer 30 40 minutes at prem then 90 at 1st div just my view . A lot of lads play 5 a side etc it's easier no commitment turn up play . No need to train 2 a week etc and so forth what ye all think . Their is a lot of clubs in similiar situations you have Greenwood Blarney street and if rumours are true Gratten are having poor turnouts that's 3 clubs in the prem . I'll be honest at Innish we finding it hard to keep a squad training but when you say lads we have a challange game you have 16 17 lads turn up where's as the previous week u might have had 8 or 9 training ! How do you address this slide . That must clubs are finding themselves in . Managers Chairman committees all doing thankless work and then you have spoilt brats playing for clubs egos etc . Should fAi look at capping number of clubs ? Is their too many clubs and not enough interested commited players I don't know anyone have answers .

Great post Oldlegs, although i passed Grattan last night after our session and there seemed to be a good few training but i know what you mean. We are having great turnouts for training/games at the moment ( 18-20+) but that will bring its own inevitable problems once the season starts and lads cant get a game. Players have to buy in to the squad system and not expect to play every game. Hard, frustrating, yes but its got to be accepted. Loyalty? very little of that left these days.

Ah fair enough killer, didnt stop to note faces etc, just saw good scattering of bodies. As you say , wasnt a huge turnout so if that was 2 team squads.

It's frustrating for everyone with the amount of changes every season, teams being pulled together for a season or two, win a trophy/ league and then disband. It's happening way too much, there's a lot to be said for the Gaa with how they deal with it. They should limit the numbers allowed sign for a team in a season like the MSL, might curb it somewhat.

I said it before I'll say it again, its no longer for the club its for the individual.

thats a bit harsh buzzkill, the man came into a sinking ship two seasons ago and kept them up , won an AOH last year and brought blarney street there first piece of silverware in god nos how long and left this year because of the commitment the job takes as been a manager of a top AUL club like blarney street !!!

That's ridiculous win at all costs ? Of course the object of football is to win ? Most ridiculous post I've seen so far this season.
If your not in it to win it then why be in it at all buzz ?
1for is like all gaffers in the aul. They'd give there right arm for silverware.
