Well something is happening......
This Saturday two new players will sign for Sligo Rovers for the 2014 season in the club store at 3pm.

Chris Lyons to Athlone ive heard
Athlone Town AFC 1887-2017
Bohs!
Athlone Town AFC 1887-2017
Gartland was not bothered last season with Shels at all.
Lack of pace would not be an insurmountable problem for an experienced centre back in a team that defended quite deep, but a lack of interest and willingness to do the basics, coupled with a blame everyone else attitude is more of an issue
OK, I was wrong - Brush and Russell confirmed. Brush will be useful as backup for Rogers. Russell potentially an excellent signing.
"Even if the wind stops to blow
Even if the sea ceases to flow
Even if the sun ceases to rise
The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning star glittering in the sky."
Town have signed Conor O'Brien, formerly of Bohs. Son of Liam O'Brien. Not sure if he's been with anyone since apparently leaving them in July.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Extratime.ie appear to agree with you:
http://extratime.ie/newsdesk/article...ing-for-hoops/The Hoops are also in the unusual position in the Airtricity League with Eamon Zayed, Richie Ryan, Ronan Finn, Sean O'Connor, Jason McGuinness, Gary McCabe and Ciaran Kilduff all under contract for the 2014 season. More signings are expected soon.
while yesterdays Indo implies that he may not be staying
http://www.independent.ie/sport/socc...-29817670.htmlRichie Ryan's commitment to Rovers, though, is less clear. The talented midfielder will decide this week whether he wants to stay with the club or emigrate to Canada, where friends of his reside.
Should he go, it would represent the second major setback of the week for manager Trevor Croly, who lost out on his chief transfer target, Daryl Horgan.

That is quite unusual - I can't think of another team in the league that has those seven players signed.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
I'm surprised a Dundalk fan wouldn't know about Russell as in the crucial game in the run-in he played the opening 20 minutes like he'd been specifically detailed to nobble Towell. Having said that, the reason it stood out for me was because it was so unusual - he normally played lovely football, for us and for Pats. I'm very pleased to see him back.
Russell is very good signing for Sligo, one of the most skillful players in the league. Athlone could be getting a good player in Chris Lyons, didn't do much at Bohs, but he looks a decent player to me.
Daryl Horgan has agreed to join Dundalk from Cork City, but compensation between the clubs has yet to be agreed. Rumor is Dundalk will pay Cork 20k in Compo
