Snappy. I actually thought it would be our Icelandic friend who'd say something.

no doubt being a Shels supporter, your humour would have vanished ages ago and sarcasm risen to the fore.

It seems inevitable now, but I'd love to see another continental club come in for him, rather than a run-of-the-mill English club.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

IRELAND INTERNATIONAL AIDEN McGeady has been put in the transfer list, according to reports in Russia.
The 27-year-old winger joined the Russian outfit from Celtic for £9.5 million in 2010 and has scoring 13 goals with 28 assists over the past three seasons.
McGeady has expressed his wish to return to British football when his contract expires in the summer but he could now get his wish even sooner than that.
Sport Express is reporting that the club has put him up for sale after criticism from manager Valery Karpin, who has allegedly questioned his attitude and fitness levels after their defeat to city rivals CSKA Moscow last Saturday.
McGeady, who scored his third international goal during an impressive performance against Latvia under new manager Martin O’Neill earlier this month, has been wanted by a number of Premier League clubs in the past and looks set to make a move when the January transfer window opens.

I guess they just want to recoup some of that hefty transfer fee before he walks for free in the summer.
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?

Is Aiden really known to possess a bad attitude and poor fitness levels?

Isn't he a fan favourite in Moscow? Could a possibly-manufactured fall-out and blotting of McGeady's reputation be Karpin's way of ensuring that the sale of a figure so popular with Spartak's faithful will be that bit more tolerable for the supporters?

I doubt if it's so complicated. Spartak lost a big game, Karpin blows a fuse in the dressing room and McGeady probably blew his in return.
If McGeady was a stand out poor player in that game, then Karpin could have substituted him, but he didn't.
McGeady was always going, fans can see the sense of getting some money before he goes on a free, therefore Karpin wouldn't have to manufacture a scenario in order to justify mcGeady's sale before his contract runs out.

McGeady has form in respect to fighting with managers in the dressing room. Can fully believe he'd lose his temper and fall out with Karpin, who is a bit of a volatile character himself. At least no doors were harmed this time round.

Yep, he had a couple and hasn't had anything nice to say about Strachan since. I thought he'd had an argument with Mowbray too but can't find a source on it.

    Fair points.

That door, however, was an old Soviet door; cardboard.
