Extra go 678 in Tolka which sounds like an official number.
The usual chaos before the games. Dundalk fans heading to the ticket booths only to be told that they should pay at the turnstile.

WTF. They just not up to holding games in that stadium. Amateur hour.

Once again on a bank holiday week end some teams have two home games and others none. Cork, Drogheda, Shamrock Rvs & Shels all at home twice so crowds on the Monday will be poor. Dundalk, Bohs, Pats, Limerick all away twice. Each team should have one home & one away on bank holidays .

Who told you that? Away tickets are never sold in the booth, always at the gate.

Why? It's an extra game, you have another one on Friday. You only have to pay the players once.

For my last two visits to Tallaght, Dundalk fans had to queue up at the ticket booth with the home fans.

They used to be, up until last season I think.

944 in Drogheda. Shocking, considering there must have been at least 200+ Pat's fans in the away stand from that Brennan video posted in the other thread.

Also, Corks worst crowd by over 200 people for their derby match.

it was a Monday afternoon, we never get good crowds on nights other than Fridays.

1851 is actually decent for a Monday.

I think 3K is an excellent attendance at Tallaght when you factor in the day and Shams league position never mind that it was the second game of the weekend there.

Most of the stand was Pats fans too. I'd say about 400 pats fans in total

Do you think so? Maybe in the context of the league as a whole but I think it's extremely disappointing for a local derby on a bank holiday.

It's clear that the attendance was affected by our results and performances to date. Taking an average of the Pats game and the Limerick game, we have dropped almost 1000 people since the start of the season, and we're just shy of 2 months in.

I dread to think what our attendances could be like come October with Dunne still at the helm.

The formula you have in excel is wrong so. It looks like you're taking the Prem Average and 1st Div average and averaging those. That will only work if there have been the same number of matches in each Division, otherwise the number will be skewed.

Just take your figure for the Overall attendance and divide that by the number of matches that have been played.

Strangely, confusing, yet makes sense. I was never good at maths. It does make things look a lot better, and it means I'll have to adjust last seasons overall too!

    I know so.
    heres a comparable example.
Last season our average was somewhat higher than this season so far, fair to say?
On the 13th of August we played St. Pats. A bigger draw than Limerick would be. Our attendance was 2159.
The following Monday, 20th of August we played Drogheda, 1392.

1851 on a Monday is a good turnout. Thats before you factor in the fact that we had two home games in 4 days. People can't afford to go to two games in such a short space of time.
    I know I didn't see you there.

I guess we'll see how the rest of the season pans out attendance-wise for us, anyhow. Although that Drogs game was a good bit further down the fixture list, it's worrying to see such a drop 2 months in.

Last season's average looks right. I see you've changed it below and as you say it makes things look better - and more importantly right!!
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"
