    Nenagh 2 pike 0.
Poor enough game and a very poor performance by nenagh. Too many of there players never performed. Pike again scored with 2 set peace goals. As far as I know all north tipp teams exited fai today.

Agree with you Billygoat we were poor yesterday and never really got going, fair play to Pike very good side and will take beating in the FAI

Whats the difference between a Junior and a Senior league?

Why can't North Tipp just rename itself North Tipp & District Senior league?

Its the whole Senior / Junior thing with the GAA and I was thinking being called a Senior league would make it sound better to the average punter on the street.

    Any thoughts?
Because we are not GAA, if your a senior side you have to play in the Munster Senior league which involves alot of traveling mainly to cork, and we also wouldn't be able to play in the Munster JUNIOR or the FAI JUNIOR cup.

Pike keeper hadn't one save to make in fairness,Pike should have scored another 2 or 3,Good bunch of lads down there and enjoyed the few bevs and grub back at their local, best of luck to them for the rest of season, good set up there as well,Can anyone tell me why there was no charge on the gate,Is it a Community Complex?

No I get that but why then is there a Munster Senior league? - from what I understand there isn't a huge difference in standard. I remember presenting the counter argument to the South Tipp clubs when they were slagging North Tipp clubs that maybe they should join the Munster Senior league. They seemed to think that there clubs were playing at a higher standard than the Munster Senior league. The country really needs a proper football pyramid.

Bar 1 or 2 teams the MSL isint much to shout about, too much travelling when you can be playing better opposition in your own league,IMO,Cork teams seem to think its the be all and end all,but I've seen plenty of them it's far from it.if some of the stronger junior teams were to enter it,and keep winning it you'd then have fellas telling them go LOI ,but none of these fellas stop to think how much it would cost,it's all about the money at the end of the day really.thats my tuppence worth on it anyway.

Ah lads my comment was meant in jest, was only trying to rise the Nenagh lads. Sorry to hear about John delaneys grandmother. He does a lot for Nenagh. My comments weren't aimed at him or his family.

Have to agree the best Jnr teams are up there with the standerd of the senior league teams.
Just look at Mervue Utd and Salthill Devon in Galway, Jnr clubs now holding there own in LOI. By the way if posters on here are ever down that way check out Salthill Devons facilities out in Drom. They realy are class.

i thought the likes of pike were big games for nenagh town.anybody know why they didnt turn up against pike on sunday.you reap what you sow, maybe they were too busy taking north tipp opposition too lightly and just couldnt get up for their "big game"

thanks billy, we have worked really hard over the past 2 years and believe we are heading in the right direction but we know we still have alot of work ahead to get to where we want to be, also pike are 1 of the best junior teams in the country and can make many a team look poor on their day, that said we are really looking forward to this tie it should be a cracker

I've seen a few games in the msl and I have to say that most of the teams in the top divisions there are far more impressive than most of the teams in north, south tipp or limerick.. The problem with north and south tipp, and probably limerick is that although the top teams are good there's too many average teams in the top divisions, possibly down to the fact that there are too many teams in general in the leagues, quantity over quality.. Most players have no interest in improving, coaches come in to train players and often just don't last because lads just don't want to know

I haven't came across too many of them,Pike have played numerous MSL teams in last few years and have beaten them,Avondale,St Mary's ,Fermoy etc, they played them in Munster Senior Cup and Fai Senior and no way is their standard any higher, when limerick had a b team a few years ago they played their home games in the pike field in the MSL league and none of the teams were up to much,Avondale are going for their 4th intermediate fai in a row and believe, most of the top teams in Tipp,Limerick,Waterford would beat them.

I would say Panda is fairly harmless, the dogs on the street know the MSL is weak, Carrick United a junior club are Munster Senior Ciup champions, Pike, Tramore, Carrick, Clonmel Town, Clonmel Celtic and Saint Michaels, Nenagh Town would be far superior to anything in the MSL

Have to dissagree i watch alot of munster senior league and the premier division in msl is far superior to any junior league in munster. Avondale and corintians for me play superb football week in week out and all the other top flight teams up there are decent. In limerick league and tsdl too many poor sides in the premier divisions.

The facilities in munster senior league are also top class. Pike, carrick, saint michaels and clonmel celtic would all be comfartable in munster senior league but saying a tramore side who flop in fai and mjc year in year out and an average nenagh town are superior to likes of rockmount and avondale is laughable
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

would have to agree with you balls we played a couple of teams form the senior league and the standard is strong enough, i think only the strongest of junior clubs would be competitive in the senior league
