For the heads interested in the lads stuck in the 3rd Division haha. We played couple friendlies won 3-2 vs Nenagh Town C they had couple players tagging along to get game time I believe from A and B teams but played mainly C players. Won 4-1 vs Cloughjordan B we never looked in trouble in that game. Played 1st round of shield last night vs Ballymackey B finished 3-3 after the 90 and we pulled through 5-3 on peno's. Any thoughts on who ye think will be chaps of their divisions this season from premier to 3rd divisions?
Rumour has it we should have an astro turf pitch soon - everything is a bit hush at the moment
Borrisokane 2 - 2 Loughrea
Regards predictions,
Im going to stick my neck out and say
Premier - Nenagh
1st - Nenagh B
2nd - Holycross
3rd - Ballymackey B
Newtown Celtic FC RIP (1992-2007)
Clonmel Town 1 Nenagh A.F.C 1 (Nenagh A.F.C win 7-6 on pens)
For the 3rd year running we will play St. Michaels in the final, tough game down in clonmel that we should of won in 90 mins, Mikey O' Gorman with a fine goal on his competitive return for Nenagh, Clonmel equalised in the 4th minute of injury time in the first half, we had decent chances in the second half to win it but to no avail. Mikey, Adam M, Damien, Scouter, Monkey, Mole and Paddy scored the pens and Savo saved 2. Final is this coming Friday @ 7pm in Brickfields.
breaking news, premier division shield final is on in the tech, celtic v borrisokane a historic day in north tipp football ha ha
did ye toss for it celticlads? surprised its not on in Brickfields would of been ideal with the 2 teams that are in it.

congrats to borris on winning the shield last night, its a great start to the year for ye i hope ye had a good night.
as for us, we played well once we settled into the game but we just couldnt put the ball in the back of the net, missed 5/6 great chance, overall happy with the way we played, we can take some positives out of it and we have a good bit to work on as well
Thanks to Nenagh Celtic last night for a good reception both during and after the match - Its a great start for us but still alot more work to do. We had a good opening twenty minutes but our defense got a real eye opener as to what premier football will be like this year for alot of the game after that. I hope we can gain a bit of confidence from it ahead of the new season..
