i agree whole heartedly with stelling. so called town fans coming on here moaning, its been going on years on foot.ie. Can remember back to when they were removed from munster junior cup over ineligable player same slating, then the end of mckeever s reign same again. When all players left and went to celtic same again. it gets boring. I havent a clue of the ins and outs of the club and yes the first team have struggled past few years but still they won a premier league in 2011 and werent the club in munster youth and junior cup finals in 2010. So its not complete disaster. Saint Michaels were in a far worse position going back four or five years ago were not winning anything on the pitch and look how they turned it around with plenty hardwork : 2 fai finals, mjc winners, premier league and tipp cups. Cant remember any of there supporters slating the way club was run back then.

Slam committees all you want lads but these are the people that keep clubs going and im sure would more than welcome any help and people to come on board.

Same goes for peake villa with posters on here slating the commitee. If set ups are clearly so bad which i cant imagine the are as bad as some say on this forum, get involved in the running of this clubs. Go to meetings and agm's have an input. Players are only training twice of week, its not full time im sure many out of work so why not help out.

My final comment on the matter would be to point out the facilities that Town and Peake have. If these clubs are so poorly run by the wrong people how do they have facilities the envy of all junior clubs up and down the country.

On a more positive note great news that the Bridge look like surviving and a club from Division 3 that looked in serious trouble look sorted aswell.

Looking forward to season kick off
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

It was great to hear of the support the Old Bridge got in past few days .. heard former players, ( some probably not up to that level now mind ) were willing to come back for a season just to keep club up and running. Hopefully there will be a happy ending anyway for them .. There is supposedly a new faces added to the commitee make them stronger in that department and new pitch on the way so hopfully now they can go from strenght to strenght.

Would be great to see Oldbridge saved and just goes to show that while there is often a lot of bickering on the page that when it comes to it there is still a lot of community spirit and goodwill between clubs, good luck to all involved

Great post balls , people on here criticising volunteers of a club , with my club saints we went through a sticky patch a few years ago but new people came in ( parents of Kids helped underage and lots of ordinary people and tradesmen helped ) not everyone gets it right at any club but have respect for anyone who gets stuck in and helps clubs out , who cares what their background is if u disagree get involved

Well done to all who got the Old Bridge sorted out and back in the premier for the coming season. I heard a lot of the older players came back to give the club a dig out. However the season goes ye can all hold yer heads up high. When you think that half of the premier division will be made up of clonmel teams this season it really says a lot for the people of Clonmel and how serious they take their soccer.

Guys I have been a Town supporter since I was a child. I am genuinely concerned about the club. I am not having a go at anybody and the club is a credit to everyone who has been involved over the last 50 years. Is it wron to care??

Have town not added some good players this year complexman? It seems like you might be talking about off the field problems when you say your concerned. Rumours are towns pockets are empty. Surely this is not true?

You turned a post about Seanie O Hara going to Celtc into a post about how awful things were at Clonmel Town and how the club was doomed, incidentally you had told us all this 2 weeks ago as well, take a leaf out of the Oldbridge book and see what happens when you adapt a bit of positivity, a lot of us wish our own clubs were as doomed as the 2011 Premier League winners,2010 Munster finalists,FAI semi finalists

yeah so i have heard from within the celtic camp complexman. http://www.clonmelcelticfc.com/news.html there ya go coconuts . celtic also hoping to sign one more player before the season starts. great to see the old bridge putting in a team. would be a major blow to have last years tipp cup finalists not in the premier league. and im sure theyl put in the effort and compete to stay up this year. should be a good game in the complex tonight .

Best of luck to both Tsdl sides tonight, Thurles is easier location for me tonight so im looking forward to seeing Saints as they have been very very quiet on this which usually means they are pretty happy with the squad they have assembled, will Thurles Town have a few Peake Villa lads tonight if the rumblings on here are true??

Anyone giving Town a chance against Nenagh, i have a feeling there may be an upset on the cards

A Club can only hold a player for 2 weeks. If they refuse to sign transfer form after that period the Club looking to sign him can protest to the League, who should step in and inform the club holding his Reg to sign, if they still refuse the League can make his Registration void and make him a free agent again. The league will want to know that the player does not owe any money to the club that holds his reg before they clear his move. This is my understanding of the procedure.
