Well about three weeks ago you said he had signed which he had not and the lads said he had not so they where right in that sense at the time, so I wouldn't say the lads need to eat humble pie. If he had signed at the time then yes you would have been proven right. You where right with the link to Limerick FC alright. You where also wrong about McCarthy to Pike as he has signed for Athlone like the lads said and Tracey looks to be re-signing with the club too.
This is Bull he has had talks with Sligo Dundalk Drogheda and Pats since you said he had signed doesnt sound like mind made up to me.
Lads like Behan and Paddy P looking very very fit first training back tonight ....One or 2 there that have not been announced as re-signed and one lad on trial a striker.
Good to see Brian O'Callaghan and Gary Sheehan back training for Limerick.
Fairplay to them.![]()
Shane Tracey confirmed as signed. Also Sean Brosnan and Barry Sheedy but I thought they had already re-signed.
Interview here that was done by Paul O'Riordan with new signing Stephen Bradley
Pre-season always tends to get fans excited. Rumours about potential signings always gets the hopes built up and this season more than ever Limerick hopes are very high. Stephen Bradley is one of our new arrivals and is widely regarded as the best midfielder in the country. His ability and experience have the Super Blues faithful convinced that our exile from top flight of Irish football is coming to an end.
Eyebrows might be raised at Bradleys’ decision to drop down to the First Division but the player himself is convinced, this is the club for him, “I spoke to Pat Scully before Christmas, I’ve never worked with him before but we had a good chat. He told me all about the club, the way they do everything properly and how they expect players to do things properly. We talked about the clubs plans and ambitions and I signed a two year deal because I knew this club was right for me”.
Stephen has just finished his first training session with his new team mates and has clearly settled in very quickly, “I know some of the lads already and I know about the rest of them. There’s real quality players throughout the squad and we’re just concentrating on ourselves and making sure we get off to a winning start”.
Although Limerick go into the start of the campaign as favourites, Bradley doesn’t feel any added pressure, “I don’t think that makes much difference, we all know the First Division is really tough, there’ll be good games and bad games but if we can physically match other teams then we’ll win most games, we have that quality”.
A final word of praise was kept for Limerick FC Chairman Pat O’Sullivan, “I met Pat Scully first then soon afterwards I met with Pat O’Sullivan, he talked about the structures in place already and how this is an up and coming club. We spoke about the new stadium and things like that, everyone here is on the same page, there’s stability here that other clubs don’t have, that’s vital. I could have gone to Sligo or Pats but I’m here and I’m here to win things, I just can’t wait to get started now”.
As fans we always get our hopes up but looking at this current squad and looking at the determination and professionalism shown at training, I’m really starting to believe that this is finally our year!!
Hotspur knows his stuff alright,he was deadright all along.
Don't know if it will just be for the under 19's or first team. Don't know much about this lad but Charleville seem to have some decent young lads anytime I've played against them.
