Walters did all his good work while we had ten men as well remember. Also, it doesn't matter what stage the game is at, a centre forward that kills a Shay Given punt stome dead from 70 yards deserves respect.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

    Lads and Ladies

Looking for some advice if possible, I cannot start my own post since i have only lurked on here since 2007.

I have been on the Block Booking waiting list since 2003, which got me tickets to friendlies and eventually 15 tickets for the fixtures at Croke Park during the 2008 euro qualifiers. Went along to the away games in wales and prague in 2007. Since then I have been living in South America, still on the waiting list, climbing slowly up to number 732 last year. Made it down for the slovakia, macedonia and scotland games this year. I recently contacted the FAI about the waiting list – been told there is no longer a waiting list.

Does anyone know if this is the case? Has the block booking waiting list been scrapped? If it has, what has been put in its place?

Additionally, I live in Belfast and I have asked the FAI about supporters clubs up here. They don’t know of any. Is there anyone here who could help me out and point me in the right direction?

    Many thanks

If you listen to some here, it's Paul McShane. Hey-oh!

I would assume Raio Piiroja. Big centre half. Going by his record scores a few goals too.

Didn't think there was a waiting list any more. Been replaced by empty seats by the looks of things.

Konstantin Vassiljev. The guy who scored twice recently against NI. He's the danger man who plays off the front man in a 4-4-1-1 formation. He's clinical on set pieces, so Ireland have to be disciplined in and around the box. He's a great passer of the ball and really makes the Estonian team tick. Has got virtually no game time of late with his Russian club Amkar Perm and will hopefully be lacking match fitness. That said, he came off the bench after 65 minutes against NI and scored Estonian's two goals in his 25 minutes on the park.

Raio Piiroja, the captain, is an imposing centre back who plays for Vitesse Arnhem in Holland. Middlesbrough's Tarmo Kink is a goal threat and can play left wingor up front on his own. Good news is that striker Sergei Zenjov (who would have been suspended from the first leg in any event) has been withdrawn due to an injury picked up with his Ukrainian club on Sunday. Zenjov has a relatively good strike rate by Estonian standards (One in four). His replacement is Vladimir Voskoboinikov hasn't featured in a single qualification match so that can only be a positive.

Any update on the O'Shea and O'Dea injuries? If both don't make it, who will the starting back four be? Ward, Dunne and Sledge are certainties but who will start right back? Foley is a long term absentee so I take it Kelly will start right full. Ward is a liability imo but we have a dearth of decent Irish left fulls so we've no other option. Hopefully he'll improve dramatically.

The midfield almost names itself and with Keane fit, I'd have Walters and Keane up front but he might go with Cox & Keane.

Also, it seems inevitable that Long won't make it so I think Best should be drafted in ASAP.

Ward is suspended for the first game.

A colleague is a West Ham season ticket holder and says Joey O'Brien is playing really well & is very popular. Just for info...

Oh yeah, forgot he was suspended. That was such a stupid booking to get in Andorra.

That creates a huge problem at full back. I assume he'll start Kelly at left full and if O'Shea doesn't make it, McShane will start right full (Oh dear lord). Lets just pray O'Shea is ok. I'd love to see Coleman start RB but we all know this won't happen.

    3. I have been confident since the draw.

    4. I have been worried since the draw.

    5. I am completely in the middle (50/50 chance) as if we move on or not. Convinced it could go either way.

    6. None of the above.

For some reason I am a #1. I am very curious to see what you all think.

    If O'Shea's out, realistically it's O'Dea/Kelly, Kelly/McShane or Kelly/Coleman.

I think Trap should call KK back up and play him, he's the safe choice for the situation and lets Kelly goes back to his natural side. Coleman/O'Dea (at full back) are both unknown quantities for an away leg in Tallinn. I think they'd both probably do the job but I'd rather go safe if we have an experienced LB who can come in.

In summation ABMS (anybody but McShane). He did a decent job a few months ago, but still wouldn't be my choice.

Ward is not suspended for the first game, he served his suspension against Armenia.

I'd have Walters starting too, if we get a PK I would want him taking it. He's scored 3 this season, v Liverpool, Besiktas and Newcastle, four if you count the shoot-out vs Spurs in the cup.

The reassuring sound of the deck chairs being reshuffled back to where they were.
