I'd say Clarke had a lot to do with that too, not to mention McGuinness being poor enough.

You may say that Dodge but Mcguinness was superb for us all season imo. I've seen enough of him all season and he has been better than Peers. Solid as a rock.
Clarke has been quality as well.

Ah now, come on. Even as a Pats fan that's a bit ott. Honest lad to be sure(and scored a good goal in europe) but team of the year ? No. Candidates from Pats in my view - Pender, E. McMillan, Bradley, North, Kavanagh.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

I wouldn't have McGuinness in the Pats team, and he definitely wouldn't get in ahead of the Rovers centre halves either.

    But we're all biased.

Browne, Walsh and Caldwell play for us. Corry for UCD. Not sure about the others. I think it was supposed to be a joke.

Who is UCD's number 6? I was thinking of adding him in but can never remember his name. Impressed every game I've seen him.

    Darren Meenan?

Not sure if it's him yer on about but he's definitely been the surprise package in the league this year imo. Has had a great season with U.C.D.

I think Rogers is easily one of best three keepers in the league too.

    For the record I'd go

    ------------Doherty------------
    Keane McMillan Peers Stevens
    McCabe Rice Ryan Dennehy
    -----Zayed North

Agreed, Rogers is a very good keeper, managing to entice him away from Pats would be a fine capture for any team

I think Corry is 6, Super player, the next Ronan Finn, How do they keep doing it? I hope Rusty takes him with him when he comes to the saints
    Here on a technicality.

A league title, Setanta Cup and European group stages and Paul Cook is still your manager of the season??

It has to be either O'Neill or Kenny
    Here on a technicality.

Think it is, slightly blond hair..Meenan is usually no 9. You can certainly the see the Finn lineage alright.

I don't think top scorer is necessarily automatic first choice...Doyle has scored 20, but has probably a 1 in 50,000,000 conversion rate. That's just in Tallaght alone. That's not good..
