Missing Keane right wing. I agree with most of what you said Shetland to be fair. Maybe a tad harsh but being honest the performance wasn't good enough & that's the main thing. Too many big players didn't perfrom, AUL didn't look like a team where as the MSL did. The AUL definitely have better players & did play better football but there was no end product. Delea never showed up & I thought team selection could have been better. Would agree with most of team considering the players that were available on the night, but keane shouldn't have been right wing, it should have been Robbie Walsh or Lloyd Dorgan. Jeffers was the wrong option up top also. AUL should have had a stonewall pen in the 1st, hit both the post & the crossbar but I thought the MSL defended well. The turning point was at 1-0 when Shane O' Neill headed towards goal after a flick on from a corner & from where I was sitting it was a DEFINITE goal. I think everyone thought it was a goal & considering it was on the side of the linesman I don't know how he didn't give it. I even heard after that most players from both sides said it was a 100% a goal.

They now have to beat Tipp away 3-0 to qualify, it seems like a mountain to climb being honest but I hope after tonight that they can only play better.

a good report radiostar, but both centre forwards were poor in my oppinion, pace and running around with a lot of effort isnt good enough at this level. both of these players are playing on the wing with their clubs, where was dereck deleay tonight.if thats the best the aul have to offer the league is going downhill fast. the buck stops with the manager and those who put him in charge for the last three years.maybe now they will realise they got it wrong again.lads its only a few years ago that the cork aul were oscar traynor champions,. whats gone wrong.tonight the manager was tactically out managed and had no answers,

how could i have forgotten keane, but i agree dorgan looked lively when introduced.the whole set up of the oscar traynor needs to be changed drastically.

I agree, things need to change but I for one never thought the AUL could win the oscar traynor this year. When they won it, everyone who was involved or watched games said they were lucky to win it. Now you need luck but getting out of the group this year would have been a start after last year. U never know but would be surprised if they qualified. Niall is gone at the end of the season, the gaffer needs to be a big AUL man & probably shouldn't be attached to any club. I just hope that enough people apply for the job to spark a change.

donie totally agree with you and its straight away that they should start looking..the winning manager of a few years ago might be available and the work his backroom staff did was unreal. littleman i think was involved then and had . a major part in that victory.as i have said previously that its not right that you train and manage a team from another league ,and be able to give 100 per cent to aul job.i think its vital that you ,be able to watch players in action with your clubs.how can that be done when bandon have games on saturday ,when most aul games are plaYED.

Most incorrect prediction of the week goes to...ME!

Bad result - can't remember the MSL team ever beating the AUL previously.

how can team be a team when i heard thrugh the grapevine that players were told the squad would be posted on aul website on monday ,and yet when some were to train with their clubs they still didnt know the final squad .add this to the farce of the first training session and you know what i mean. with now o reagan gone ,a few who wont play under him could be enticed back for next season.

Shetland your always going on about what the league has to offer and players who aren't on it such as Hurley who is ineligible Derek Mac who DOESN'T wanna play then

Throw in the fact then that delea Didn't turn up and gettings has no interest what's anyone supposed to do?? Go to these fellas and drag them out??? Shetland really now do me a favour and name your first 11 that you'd have going with last night out of what was available???

made it to the game last night for the second half . was behind the goal in the shed end on the linesmans side! it was a goal pure and simple . dont know how or why he didnt give it??? My opinions are based on what i saw and only on what i saw as i didnt see the first half . Looks to me like alot of players didnt play to their capabilities . 3 out of the 11 i would say! was talking to a guy from an MSL club and he said the MSL team was significantly changed to last year. shetland you made a comment about Jeffers from Kinsale . As far as i know he played most of his football as a striker until he went to Kinsale (shilts you might correct me on that one) and he was one of the AULs best performers in the second halfi thought the substition came too late . the guy who came in on the right wing did well and if his crossing had been a bit better might have changed things.I'm going to make a comment now and i dont care how it is taken . Any player that is called up to the AUL panel should see it as an honour regardless of who the manager is and in my eyes any guy who is elligible and doesnt want to turn up should perhaps be banned from club football. As a former player i'd have given my left arm to be called up to the panel.

to mario and freddie, what was on show last night six or seven would be on everybodys team but tactically they were found wanting in my oppinion.,re unavailable players i can tell you that the top striker wont play under o reagan ,reason ,he went on a stag that was booked months in advance a few seasons ago it clashed with aul rep game . the manager choose to have it out with him and player wont get involved since.hopefully that will change soon.freddie to represent yor league is indeed an honour and i did,but not knowing where you stand on the night before the game is a joke and to be ringing around managers to send players to trials the night before isnt on either.facebook notification is not good enough,.to many eggs in one basket is what comes to mind.

Shetland , Mario asked you a DIRECT question which you have again failed to answer and i've also asked you in the past!! with the benefit of hindsight name your squad from whats AVAILABLE in the AUL - include derek Mccarthy if you want . Did the current manager steal your sweets or something?

I suppose 1-11 i'd have the Kinsale team in to represent the AUL.

Poor result last night. Sounds as if it could have gone differently if decisions went another way but still not good enough. Are our expectations too high? Compare that team to the winning team of 3 years ago. No comparison really.

freddie no sweet stealing involved ,he is just not good enough and has too much on.i would say the same about any one else in similar position.ok my team would be cronin who played well last night. i would have dereck mc carthy and dereck delea up front ,would have skillington as a back up as he offers something different. lyod dorgan and o neill are the best wingers from what ive seen, graham keane is better suited to the middle as his distribution is top class ,blake would compliment him well. im not saying that my team would differ much from last nights but after three years you would surely have put on a better performance.lads it all comes from the top surely we can agree here.the aul did not look like a team the msl did.we go on about munster senior league and what players would be good enough..jeez in all fairness our best couldnt beat their juniors.does anybody else offer a different approach, ive voice my oppinion on this set up from the start and got slated ,get behind the team and manager,a joke.people from the legue went to the cross last night in hope, dont think they would go again.were the tactics wrong, radiostar was right moving peelo was a panic move .it was 442 v 433 that wasnt addressed early enough.

mario i would make 4 changes from yours keane for daly ,sully for holden .and dorgan for keegan and o neill for walsh, but you seem to be missing the point, if anyone one else was manageing the team last night the result would have been different ,eg proper preparation, hAS got to come into it. you asked me to name my team ,even if it was the same as the team that started last night it should be beating the msl.if a team is not performing ,do you get rid of the manager or the team.mario are you in management yourself were you at the game, could you see where the problems were.

it was my understanding of the situation with the MSL team that if they didnt turn up they would be suspended for a few games.
Is this not the same with the AUL team?

that only happened to the hall players last year who said they would be their, then when the bus was leaving their was no sign of them!! so they got 3/4 game bans! if a fella tells you from the beginning that he can't commit thats fair enough i think!
