Foster and the rest of us were told that the budget would remain the same and the money that Hector was on would be available still. No-one has any problem at all with financial prudence in this day and age, instead of waiting til the last minute until the lad arrived in the country and up in Dundalk if they were pulling the deal and reducing the budget they should have at least given the lad a phone call before he hopped on a plane and came over instead of a wasted trip that makes us out to be a pack of amateurs. According to Colm Crosson the deal was dependant on getting 30k owed off Setanta that still has yet to be paid.
Tell the truth, you typed this without taking a breath
Interesting times ahead as SETANTA sports ask DundalkFC to push the ko time for their match V Shamrock R(Sat 3/9/11). From a 2pm KO to a 5.30 KO so that they can carry the match "LIVE".
The same company that owe the club(and others i would reckon) a serious lump of cash(40k) and that helped to make sure that the club was embarrassed in the Cian Hughton signing.Let us see what will un-fold in the next week or two.???
The later kick off time is preferable surely? Obviously Dundalk should use it as leverage to get their money though.
Just saw this on sky sports news...RESULT if we get it:
Skysports.com understands Peterborough have tabled a bid for Dundalk star Daniel Kearns.
Kearns has been earning rave reviews for the Airtricity Premier League outfit and a number of clubs have been keeping tabs on his progress
Championship outfit Peterborough have held a long-term interest in Kearns and they have now firmed up their interest with a six-figure offer for the attacking midfielder.
Posh boss Darren Ferguson is a big fan of the former West Ham youngster and is hoping to win the race for the 19-year-old's services.
However, Peterborough could face competition for Kearns with Scottish giants Celtic showing an interest in the skilful attacker after he impressed against Neil Lennon's side in the Dublin Super Cup last month.
Dundalk are thought to be considering Peterborough's offer with Kearns out of contract at the end of the Airtricity season in two months.
That makes absolutely no sense but I suppose at least I know how to use the quote button unlike your erudite self.
Deal fell through according to Orielweb, plus the best part is that GM knew of the offer when he said the Hughton deal couldn't go through, the plot thickens.

it's more likely to be 5-1.
