Sorry addict but your wrong St.Nicholas made contact to try stay in Division 1 which was successful an absolute disgrace IMO its moyglass who i feel sorry on who wanted to get into the Premiership...St.Nicholas did all they could at the end of last season not to get runners up spot and before anybody jumps down my throat it was a brother of one of their players who said they deliberately lost games when the chance of winning the league was gone.It was a pity Moyglass couldnt win their last game as they went about things the right way.

I heard it from from a few lads who played Nic's in one of their final games. They said some of the Nic's players were openly telling them that they didn't want to win the game and wanted to stay in the first division. Can`t blame them in a way because sometimes when smaller clubs go up and have a bad season and come straight back down they can struggle for a few seasons. Look at old bridge last season, they needed a few wins in the last few weeks to stay up and not go down to the second even though they weren`t too bad in the premier the year before.
    Anyway
    Celtic premier
    Nics 1st
    Cashel B 2nd
    Tipp town 3rd
    Borris B 4th

it suits the tsdl to have cahir in it with their nice pitch and also cahir giving the league a hand in doing town youths out of a final appearance which meant their juniors wudnt get relegated, all happy out now

The problem is if the league make it a fixed rule this season and the team that comes 2nd in Div 1 wants to go up they won't be able just because st Nic's got their way and were aloud to stay in Div one.

I'd would love to know where you got this information from? There is no way st. nicks contacted the league looking to stay in Div 1. I am surprised that they didn't promote two and relegate one to put the premier back to 9 teams to give a few extra games but to say that they have changed the rules to suit St. Nicholas is ridiculous.

Addict you must be the only person who is not aware of this,At the TSDL meeting St Nicks had their letter to the league read out where they requested to remain in the first division, its common knowledge, ask any member if the TSDL committee

Tipp top I don't think you can compare the 2 Rosegreen were out of their depth I premier and struggled in the end of season to field teams it was nt right but they suffered didn't have any impact on winning premier or relagation issues unlike st nicks who have undermined promotion and status of premier numbers
The point I'm making is that the st nicks has had a real knock on effect and as you see by other post lots of guys not to happy about it

The report was actually put up last night within a few hours of the game, They have plenty to say win, lose or draw, so lets not start any Saints rubbish on this page again.

I attended the game in question that resulted in Rosegreens relegation -- St Michaels B v St Nicholas. Firstly if Rosegreen were concerned enough about their First Division status i think they wud have had a few in attendance but they didnt. Secondly the game was 1-1 with 10 mins to go. In the last 10 mins the St. Michaels goalkeeper made 3 great saves and St. Nicholas hit the post before St. Michaels got winner in last minute. Hardly a way of throwing a match. I heard St. Nicholas went to Old Bridge very short but also heard that Moyglass were prepared to lose last match in order to remain in division. I heard this myself after the Moyglass win over St. Michaels B. The plan seemed to be get as many points as possible without catching St. Nicholas for second place. I would be very surprised if any of the First Division teams would like to get to the Premier as runners-up.

Whats the point in been in Division 1 so or why bother having a soccer club theres B teams would love to go up and there not allowed plus theres no difference in going up as champions or runners up you still have to compete in premierleague.Shu we could have a situation were Town and Michaels B team could possibly come 1st and 2nd in Div 1 this season that means the 3rd place team goes up and possibly 4th depending on new proposal wonder what will the Tsdl do then.

Sportsfan I was also at saints b v st nicks game last year and everyone in the ground was under no illusions what the preferred result should be and as s football supporter I was disgusted with st nicks attitude as for Rosegreen not turning up to watch why should they when result was a foregone conclusion and also you mentioned moyglass and I think you are way off the mark as they were mad to go up but fell short
But would have liked to test themselves against the best , the whole episode is a sorry affair and I don't think the tsdl have covered themselves in glory on this either
