Hilarious wikipedia edit alert (the LoI points total).
Anyone see any attendance figures anywhere? Looked sparse enough on the highlights I saw yesterday, but there were big parts of the ground out of shot obviously. Are we looking at a possibility of it having made a loss and maybe discontinued?
Kearns got a bit of the old he has potential phrase off lennon in his sky interview
What a party the weekend was. The Players Lounge was bouncing from 11am to midnight on Saturday. Pretty much everyone in the stadium was a Celtic fan, there was around 15,000 there on the Saturday. Had to spend day at hospital Sunday so missed LOI game. Was hoping for a draw, shame it was such a bad beating. It was a weak enough Celtic team as well but maybe they got tired playing two games in two days, it was a big ask.
Our league once more humbled and humiliated. Now it's left to our teams in Europe to try and get some good results to make up for this complete fiasco. Damian Richardson has made himself look like a hopeless fool. He has lost all respect from LOI fans. Strange to think I actually used to quite admire the man.
Attendances seem to have been very poor, which is some consolation. Hopefully we've seen the last of this disastrous, laughable tournament.

It's not even worth getting into on here, they'll be around you like a pack of wolves baiting and mocking you. You reply you find yourself banned. If I came out with a comment on here like that I'd be banned in a heartbeat. Purely because I support Celtic I get banned off here for the most laughable things, so take my advice and not even go there mate.
The Celtic support travelled over in numbers, behaved themselves, drank hard and had a good time around Dublin as I knew they would be. Even my flight over was bonkers with singing. Everyone just seemed to be up for it so much. I hope this is an annual thing with teams that bring a support next time. Waste of time inviting Inter Milan and the LOI XI.
No it is not. the irish 'fans' of man u & liverpool and any other english team will generally turn anti england once international football kicks in even if they are playing a 3rd rate side. This is one of the most cringo things I see in this country, make my blood boil, and the clowns just cant see the irony. Then we have people from all over the country ringing up shows like Today fm after 5 on a saturday and telling the nation all about 'we' and 'us'
I also support celtic, my first team is Dundalk and always will be, but i would never want scotland to lose, to be honest I have no interest really in england, more interested in Ireland. Celtic have a strong tradition in Ireland that not many teams can match. Also agree re the fans who travelled from all over Ireland, Scotland (others I met were based on the continent) every one I saw was well behaved, up for a brilliant weekend and really enjoying the friendship they witnessed. But that wasnt good enough for some people.

So what if Irish Liverpool, Man Utd fans etc cheer against the English national side? What's the English national side got to do with anything? There's plenty of English fans of these clubs who don't support the English side, who would actually cheer against them. There are plenty of LOI fans who don't cheer on the Irish national side.
Irish fans of the Premier League clubs don't play up on any Irishness, rightly or wrongly. They support a British club and are aware of it. What's 'cringo' is Irish Celtic fans pretending they're being patriotic by supporting an 'Irish' team who represent Scotland and Britain, wearing their tricolours at Lansdowne Road and cheering on their British based side against an actual Irish side while singing the Fields of Athenry!
And remember all the whining when they wanted to join the English premier league, and what about the poppies - ha ha yeah irish alright, lol
How many Celtic fans are also supporters of Scotland?
Celtic are instructed to wear them by the SPL itself. Every team wears them. The one emblem they do chose to wear iS the Irish Famine Memorial. Funny no Irish team supports it.
There's nothing 'cringe' about people of Irish descent singing Irish songs. Much the same way we'll have people of Polish descent who will take a keen interest in their heritage. Not everyone there with an Ireland flag was Irish born. You make assumptions despite not being at the game.Irish fans of the Premier League clubs don't play up on any Irishness, rightly or wrongly. Celtic fans have always been friends of Ireland. During the independence struggle be it in 1920 or 1969, Celtic supporters have always supported Ireland's cause and campaigned and collected money for the various causes and the club itself through it's Charity Fund support Irish charities, such as Saint Vincent De Paul and have done more than any Irish club in trying to help charitable causes in Ireland.
Some people should educate themselves on the Irish Diaspora. Some people in Ireland are so ignorant to this vital part of the Irish nation it's cringeworthy.

Here one thing you all might find funny. My mate from Glasgow was at the LOI game and said some folk turned up in Man United tops and were fighting Man City fans and causing bother giving City fans abuse. These idiots were Irish, paying €50 in to watch their rivals just to abuse them and show what big United fans they were. They take the term 'moronic' to a new extreme!
