Well Done to St. Mick's who were full value for their win but I have to say to certain people on here slating Mike Ahern. I thought he was 1 of the the very few Pike men to come off with his head held high. He stopped two near certain goals with last ditch tackles also I don't think St. Mick's were 4 goals better than Pike. I agree Alan Barry should have saw red and also saints should have had a pen in 1st half but at 1-0, Pike missed few sitters and keeper made few great saves, the 2nd goal came from a throw in that should have been Pike's, few things that should have changed the game but I'm not taking away from saints performance on the night they fully deserved the win.

Who did he play LOI with and who did he win a Munster Junior Cup with, I know he was part of the Pike team beaten 4-0 in Munster Final.

Was at saints v pike sat night and after reading some of the posts on here im just wondering were these people at the same game as i was. For me Mullins, Kavanagh and the right back tired their best for pike but without much support, Barry and Maloney just didnt get the ball to feet all night and were up against a very strong saints defense. Saints put in the best display ive ever seen from a junior side, Jimmy Carr was outstanding and some of the goals scored were top class, great team performance. Thought saints should ve had a peno, Barry should ve been sent of and chalkys was harsh because the whistle was very late. As for the possible FAI meeting i think it might be alot closer, overall the result flattered pike if anyone as it could ve been alot more.

Just also want to point out the arrogance of some of the posts before this game by Pike people were unbelievable. May be now you have learned a lesson from this as no game was ever won before a ball was kicked on foot.ie! To say the least, this game finally put an end to what happened last year and to be fair to Connie, he went into Saints dressing room after game and stated this very fact. They were bet fair and square by the better team and he hopes Pike get another crack at the whip in the FAI but we will have to wait and see what happens as the Semi games will be huge for both teams to overcome. It was a proud night for Saints and we are delighted for them. Nothing is won yet and Carrick will be a huge test for them in the final which I think is pencilled in for the May Bank Holiday weekend. As regards the comments about a section of our supporters on Saturday night, Saints have very loyal supporters who would travel anywhere to see them play but unfortunately, when get to this stage of the season and you are still involved in cup competitions, the club attracts an element of supporters who only go to these games for "day out" - these so called fans wouldnt go to cooke park in the middle of January on a cold wet day to see Saints play in TSDL league. We cant do anything about this only to say we dont that kind of "fan" at a game. Any genuinue supporters who were near these people on Sat night would have told them to "shut up" A huge crowd travelled to Jackman Park on Saturday night from Tipperary and the support was great. The only down side playing in a Munster Final without Chalky is a huge blow for Club and for him. If Chalky got the line for kicking away the ball, surely, Mr. Barry should have got the line for an elbow to Breeno's jaw!
Seem to remember saints fans causing hassle in Carrick last year so much so that there was an apology on the saints web site

Im goin to do some research on this comment and get back to you because a lot of us went to the pub after the game in Carrick where the Carrick lads were and chatted and mingled with them. There was nothing mentioned then about it, there is a lot of work connections between the clubs and as far as i can recall there was only people there from Tipp Town that would have drove as i dont think there was any supporters buses organised.
I'll confirm or categorically deny this later!

As mentioned already, Saint Michaels people cannot be held responsible for some people that attend their bigger games, especially away games, these people are not genuine supporters and you cannot paint all people with the same brush. To my knowledge, one person ran onto a former Clonmel Town player who now plays with Carrick from the sideline after Saints scored and roared at him. I havent seen that person since at a game! the bulk of us that saw what happened were disgusted with him so much so, that an apology appeared on the website. as said already, there is nothing any club can do about this kind of support except to say we dont want that kind of people at games.

Bobby D i wasnt trying to say Carrick were poor by any means, i just taught St michaels were like a senior team on saturday night and your dead right anything can happen in the final... Best of luck to ye in Final also, our game was very enjoyable to play in and ye have some keeper.. He was outstanding in the penalty shoot out. Can understand why he is the International keeper.

i remember a few year's ago irisheagle fairview ranger's beat carrick utd in fai final in r.s.c and when the fairview bus was passing back through carrick a window got put through in the bus with a stone. im not saying that was a fan of carrick utd that did that but as was stated above alot of people go to these big games that are not genuine supporters and the club cannot be held responsible for act's of stupidity. i have never seen such act's occur in cooke park which show's the st michael's club with deal with the culprit's if acting badly in their name. p.s really looking forward to mjc final should be a very close game and great occasion between 2 outstanding club's.

Lads, every club has certain supporters that just come to the "big" away matches like all these fans don't even know where the Pike Field is!

That sort of conduct is not acceptable but is it advisable to parade through the town of the vanquished directly after a cup final and expect the locals to shower you with greetings?
    Somehow I think not.
Aside from that here's looking forward to a great Munster Junior Cup Final played between two of the country's most successful sides of the recent past.

I wouldn't go counting your chickens yet. Only 1 game. End of story. You've been mouthing off for the last few days, I'd say everyone is in agreement that St.Mick's were the better team on the night and Pike didn't turn up. Your clearly not a St.Micks supporter. They'd have the class to drop it by now. Bitter about something I assume?!

No bitterness pal and I have not posted since Monday on this.I am not a Micks supporter but was just amused with the stuff that apparent Pike supporters said what they were going to do to Micks before this game.I did also state that this will be the best thing to happen to Pike in their quest to win the big one.

just reading some of the posts here from limerick people slagging off pike rovers, they have lost one game in 34 i believe and i'll bet there isint another team in the country that can boast that record, the likes of skyguy and blueboy who probably have'nt even seen pike play this year just make's me laugh,i heard they are involved with prospect united,so they cant really come on here slagging off pike rover's,just bitter little men, their on about the oscat traynor manager and how they know him so well, why dont they get him to manage their club,i believe he was actually there before,so maybe he might just be interested, they should worry about their own little club and let the big boy's get on with their business like challenging for fai's and mj's ect,i hope pike rover's do go on and win the fai and keep these boy's quiet for a while,

the last time I looked at the name of this site it was called foot.ie, were people give an opinion about football not an appreciation site to Pike, so like everyone else on this site, people are entitled to their opinions , even you and me, so build a bridge and trot on over it.

But just to keep you happy ill tell you Im not involved with any team I haven't played soccer in 4 years but have played with a few teams but now I like to watch a game every Sunday morning, I have seen only 1 prospect game since xmas, but I have seen the view beat pike. (sorry is that pike bashing again lol) I know who the Oscat (your word lol) Traynor manager is, sure everyone does, but I don’t know him personally and never have I said in any post that I know him, (post up were I have) so seeing that your man enough to make a false statement im sure you will be man enough to apologize for making it.

Also if all the other clubs in the premier had the same backing as Pike have then it would be good to see how successful pike would be, that’s one of the reasons People dislike them.

so post up the comment were I said I know the Oscat (your word lol)Traynor manager because I dont know him
