One of the members of Harps squad from last season (currently not re-signed as yet but training with the side) has had a better offer put to him by the GAA to return to play GAA as the new county manager wants him in the panel.
Amateur my fooking hole.
Chris Mulhall played mostly on the wing for us, but is apparently more of a forward. That's a starter for ten anyway.
Darren Meenan played for us yesterday; wasn't he with Sligo most recently? Played for us in 2008; wasn't great, but with our striking options, he'll be much appreciated if he has signed. At least he has a bit of experience, which forwards seem to need more than other positions.
Other names I didn't recognise yestreday were Dan (?) Ledwith/Ledwidge (centre-mid; had a good game), Jack Flynn, someone Scanlon and someone Cullen. Dunno if anyone's heard anything about any of them; presumably they're coming through from various youth clubs rather than LoI clubs as that's the way we usually get our players.
Always something exciting about this time of year.![]()
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
Wiki says he was with Drogheda last season. He's really been around the country - Harps, Monaghan, UCD, Bray, Shels, Sligo, Drogheda, UCD again, and he's still only just gone 24!
Serious attitude problem when with us, but definitely had ability. Came on as a sub against Sligo in the showgrounds in the League cup once, last 4 minutes before getting a stright red, never really had a look in after that. Must have been the 2006 season when he was with us.
Mons were very happy with him though by all accounts.
Daniel Ledwith, James Scallan and Gavin Colton were all part of UCD's A Championship and Under 20 teams last season. All are probably 17/18, Ledwith and Scallan came from Arklow Town and Colton came from Cherry Orchard and was also on Football's next star with Craig Walsh
Jack Flynn is 21 and was a bit-part player with Shelbourne last season and St. Pats before that.

The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
Meenan had no attitude problem with us, always one of the hardest working players. I remember he was on crutches once and was first there for the bus to wexford. Was grand at drogs I believe too. Maybe Matthews is eager to have him at Shels having worked with him before? I know we would have him back if he fitted what Mick needed. Great young fella.

Bad egg. Cookie was glad to be rid of hom.
Raf Createro signed for The Bit o'Red. Footballs coming home.
Raffaele Cretaro has signed for us again apparently.
Looks like a good signing. A bit of experience to balance all the young guys in the team.Conor O'Grady to sign for Harps today after training
Rovers sign Dean Kelly, who was with Oldham Athletic until Christmas. That move should mean Tommy Stewart will be off, more than likely to Derry City.

Good riddance..An unbelievable waste of money.. By the end of the season you could actually hear him getting fatter if you sat near him in the stands. McGuinness is a great signing for you in my opinion. Creatro.. best of luck with that..
