Happy enough with that, Home draw for the cup holders against Mervue. We are quite used to beating teams from the west in the cup. Oh and it was a penalty
You'll be happy to know, soon after UCD joined the League of Ireland Senior Division, we won the cup in 1984 against SRFC. And were then drawn against Mervue Utd. as our first opponents as holders. Happy with this. It will be UCD's first competitive game at Hunky Dory's Park Home of Drogheda United FC.
John Lester buried our dreams in a FAI Cup replay up there, 3-2 after extra-time. Great game. As was the first one.

Happy enough with our draw, mainly because of the fact we are at home.
Good few of the games could be played on the Sunday as it is a bank holiday weekend when they are being played.

2. First game was a good warm-up. One of the biggest attendances at Belfield Park Stadium.

I think your free kick (in the 118th minute...) was deflected. We scored from 25 yards into the top corner with ours (after 116 minutes).
