15:32:Sean Connor's departure from Dundalk occurred at 2pm today. Not the news expected at 2pm. There are reports in today's papers that Kildare County will not be able to fulfil the fixture today. We will confirm or deny that now with the FAI. According to Shelbourne, the fixture is going ahead. More on that when we get it. The meeting continues...

I hope they gave Sean Connor a good send off. All Red cards containing €50s welcomed.

15:40: A general sense of restlessness passing over the awaiting press. FAI are still in the meeting.

    Latest from the meeting

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Have to say... exciting (not in a good way) last day to the season. Brings me back to the good oul days of the licencing decisions. Roll on February. I pray to the heavens that Derry survive in some form.

They're having a break FFS! Reconvene in half an hour.

Not going well for DCFC though, based on a sort conversation through a window, no less.

Was reading in the paper yesterday that between Cork, Derry, Pats and Drogs in 2008, wages totalling the guts of 9 million euros between them. Complete insanity.

They said in the Independent yesterday that Pats spent €2.25 million on wages last year, which is even more staggering when Bohs, who are supposedly in very bad financial trouble, only spent €1.8 million in comparison.

Jesus. It would be interesting to see if you added up the wage bills for all the premier division teams what that would come to.
